Saturday Racing Tips - Randwick Racecourse 06/01/24

A ten race card heads to Randwick tomorrow and whilst we don’t have any listed racing it is still a pretty massive card with $1.5m on offer across the ten races and I am very keen on a few betting spots in particular and have run through the card below and picked them out so follow me below!

BEST BET - #5 - Running By (BEST BET)
It wasn’t so easy to get my betting started tomorrow at Randwick but I have landed on an opening bet with Running By who has hit form and can continue to win now for the Maher and Eustace camp. She had to rally very hard when she last stepped out three weeks back at Caulfield but won well and now comes into this with more upside third up and I think she rates highly here.

THE DANGER - #9 - Cadetship
Cadetship has to rate as some danger to the favourite here for Chris Waller after resuming very strongly from a spell last time out. He came off of a 32 week break then when coming from the rear of the field when the split came to chase very hard from the 250m to home and finish just behind the placegetters. He now draws a much better gate, will be fitter and ready to win.

VALUE BET  - #3 - Money From The Sky
Money From The Sky likes to shoot himself in the foot a bit but his engine is very genuine and when he puts it all together he is a very impressive horse. He did so two runs back at Canterbury when winning very well first up from a spell before then not being a winning chance when near the rear of the field and running home nicely the next time out.

BEST BET - #13 - Legio Ten
I was always a fan of Legio Ten for Godolphin and I think after the way he returned to racing he’s going to be tough to beat here. That resumption run came over the 1100m at Rosehill a couple weeks ago where he let them get way in front before powering home to claim the race very well. He gets an even better set up this time and off his first up run I think it will take a good thing to beat him.

THE DANGER - #6 - Dehorned Unicorn
Dehorned Unicorn is crying out for a win and his formlines read very well for this race. He ran behind Brudenell a couple weeks back at the end of last year here where he got going late to finish only a few lengths off of the impressive Kris Lees horse. He should improve into this and will make this a race.

VALUE BET  - #19 - Tristate (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) 
Tristate has been on his game for a long time now as the stable is often able to produce and I think this guy does his best work fresh which he comes into this race set up well after not having run since Golden Eagle day where he just got tired late in the piece behind a smart winner. His trial was very sharp the other week and he’s won harder races than this.

BEST BET - #3 - Boston Rocks (NEXT BEST)
Nathan Doyle has just been absolutely flying these past few months with the runners he has been sending to Randwick and I think that Boston Rocks is no exception after getting an awesome ride from Tim Clark when resuming he won very well. I think he is only going to look stronger now and I back him to roll the favourite here.

THE DANGER - #7 - Shaken
I certainly don’t think that Shaken isn’t in with a shout here for the Godolphin camp and he comes here after resuming at Warwick Farm with an expected but lethal win when he looked so soft in moving through the motions under Tyler Schiller and powering away from the field. She will likely be onto bigger things soon just a bit too short for me and backing the momentum of the Doyle camp but this will be interesting.

VALUE BET - #12 - Miss Emma
Miss Emma got the maiden win out the way last time out for Chris Waller at start number seven and now that I think she has it done she can keep the momentum going. She recorded a bunch of close runner up placings before stepping out under the lights at Canterbury last time out and seemingly improving a lot between runs when looking like a true Saturday class animal. She will continue to improve with each run.
