Saturday Racing Tips - Randwick Racecourse 30/12/23

A ten race card heads to Randwick tomorrow and whilst we don’t have any listed racing it is still a pretty massive card with $1.5m on offer across the ten races and I am very keen on a few betting spots in particular and have run through the card below and picked them out so follow me below!

BEST BET - #1 - Parkour (NEXT BEST)
Jamie Kah has a few decent rides in Sydney tomorrow but you would have to think she was brought up here specifically to ride this horse who needs to win or place second in this to go onto his eyed Magic Millions. He finished just behind Arabian Summer on debut in the Ballarat Magic Millions and only needs even luck to win this now.

THE DANGER - #4 - Dark Arts
Dark Arts looks like one of the most well bred horses in this field and steps out on debut for the Hawkes camp. He won his last trial very nicely and whilst this is a deep 2Y maiden I think he has to rate as one of the leading contenders.

VALUE BET  - #2 - Vinarra
Vinarra is one of those with runs on the board and I think commands some level of respect here for the Busuttin / Young camp. He took some time to work into his task last time out when on debut in the Ballara Magic Millions but once he did he was flying home behind Arabian Summer. He’s had two runs now at the 1000m and will be ready to take the step up here.

BEST BET - #7 - Bomarea
Close race between the favourites but I am giving the edge to Bomarea for Marc Quinn. She won a highway a fortnight back here and the way she did so was really sharp when just sustaining a hot speed all run. All of her runs are at the 1000m and so if she can get the win over this trip now I think she is in for even more good runs.

THE DANGER - #2 - Gallant Star
Gallant star is the other favourite in this field and quite a smart horse himself for Brett Robb who comes into this second up after resuming a couple weeks ago at Rosehill in the Highway and being held up before getting a clear run late and flying home to almost win the race. That was his first run for nearly 10 months so plenty to offer second up now coming into this.

VALUE BET  - #12 - Discreet Miss (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) 
Discreet Miss is one of the only last start winners in this field and last stepped out over the 1200m at Nowra where she did get the gun run behind the leaders but still the way she motored away from them to win was ever so impressive and she was quite a few weeks between runs then so she rates well overall here.

BEST BET - #7 - Lousiville (BEST BET) 
You have to be in the corner of Chris Waller here with Louisville who looks like one of the best bets of the day and has run over the 1400m in his last two trips with the most recent being a fortnight back where he came from around last in the run to close home powerfully and run second place to Felix Majestic. He now gets out to the 1600m which looks positive based on his run style and I think he is going to be very tough to beat here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Stonecoat 
Stonecoat is a very impressive fresh runner, having won two of his first up runs and placed runner up in the other and whilst he has never raced at longer than the 1400m first up the fact he has been placed here by Waterhouse / Bott off the back of three trials first up suggests he has been placed with intent and I think he only runs well.

VALUE BET - #4 - Floating
Floating comes into this after having just won the Nowra Cup which sees him qualify for next year’s Big Dance and the way he won it was super impressive given he didn’t get the best of maps. He now maps to do no work compared to that run and he has proven he is up to this level of competition so no knocks here.
