On Saturday, Sandown Lakeside in Australia will showcase a strong nine race card with a total prize money of $3.5 million. The feature race of the day will be The Showdown, a set weight race over 1200m, for a share of $1 million. The card features a bunch of very exciting sprints and a few mid - staying races which should make it very exciting for racing fans. The track is expected to be heavy (8), with the rail out seven metres for the entire circuit.

Sandown R2 - FLYING ARTIE V GOLD DISTAFF (1400m)

Selections:
#6 - Belle Savoir - $2.80
#1 - Megamea - $3.90
#4 - Good And Proper (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)- $7.00
#5 - Star Of Chaos- $6.50

BEST BET - #6 - Belle Savoir - (BEST BET)
Great little race we have here second on the card and I am keen to be with Belle Savoir who will be sure to improve big time into this for Nick Ryan. She got some support late in the piece a few weeks ago third in the Gold Bracelet three weeks ago at Bendigo and looked as if she needed that run behind Foxy Frida. Likes it here and should make big improvements now.

THE DANGER - #1 - Megamea
Megamea who comes to race at her favourite track second up off of a 19 week spell when she resumed three weeks ago on the Straight here and she ran like she needed the run when running okay behind Veranskova. Whilst she may need one more I think she has the class on these and loves it here.

VALUE BET  - #4 - Good And Proper (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
The Ellerton Camp puts forward Good and Proper for this who I think is racing very well after resuming here in the midweeks about three weeks ago now in a 1300m where she was against the shape of the race and came on very strong from near last to finish second to Circle of Magic. Historically is very strong second up and only needs to settle a touch closer in the run to be a threat.

Sandown R3 - PAULELE VOBIS GOLD DASH (1200m)

Selections:
#4 - She Dances (NEXT BEST)- $2.90
#5 - Nanagui  - $9.00
#3 - Shalaman - $17.00
#6 - Manhattan Thunder - $10.00

BEST BET - #4 - She Dances (NEXT BEST)
All about one horse here and that is She Dances who has won four from eight this campaign and will jump and be chasing from the outset. She was very good in the Sunlight here when fourth behind a group 1 horse in the making in What You Need, has a great record at this distance and will find the front or be close and be hard to contain from there.

THE DANGER - #5 - Nanagui
Market always seems to disrespect Nanagui and maybe thats just because he doesn’t fire that often but the Moody trained horse is very honest. She resumed in the Inglis Sprint here where she finished last behind Benedetta after a half year spell and clearly she wasn’t up to racing that day but has had a Pankenham Jumpout last week where she looked very good and would use that as a basis far more than the first up run. She’s got the talent to win this and should be good going into this.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Manhattan Thunder
Manhattan Thunder is a runner who I put in my black book after his recent sprint at Sale over the 1000m about a month ago where the track was only to his disadvantage but he clocked the best last 600 and 400m of the meeting there when jetting home into fourth. He has been good before at the 1400m so i think 1200m will be okay and if he doesn’t give them too much of a start he will be clearly the strongest late.

Sandown R5 - AVENEL VOBIS SIRES GUINEAS (1600m)

Selections:
#9 - Running By (BEST BET) - $2.25
#4 - Toronto Terrier  - $5.50
#3 - Russian Dancer  - $7.50
#2 - Bel Air- $6.00

BEST BET - #9 - Running By (BEST BET)
RUnning By is likely going to look way to good for these. The Maher and Eustace prospect has been very good in her two runs back from a decent spell. She was very good down the straight here when resuming in the Inglis Sprint behind Benedatta and then went to the Bendigo Guineas where she looked the winner but was just claimed by Waltz On By to place second by under a length. She should be good up to the mile now and third up she’ll look the strongest she has all prep.

THE DANGER - #4 - Toronto Terrier
Toronto Terrier is a talented three year old who will be one of the strongest late. He resumed at Pakenham over the 1200m where he thrashed them and went into the Gold Reef at The Valley as favourite where he couldn’t back it up but have to cut him some slack there when wide all run and just tiring late. He now has the Mile under his belt and will get a much easier run, big chance.

VALUE BET - #3 - Russian Dancer
Russian Dancer doesn’t have as much upside as some of these but he is holding form. He started to get a few sharp wins away from his home track before going to the Gold Reef that the aforementioned Toronto Terrier was in where he sat off a genuine tempo and motored home late looking the winner before just tiring inside the last 50-100m and going down to Bel Air. If he can pick up a bit off that he will be dangerous late.

He is known to perform exceptionally well on major race days, and he has secured a significant number of rides for this weekend's racing at Sandown Park Lakeside, I have outlined them all below:

Multi Tips For Sandown Racecourse

One of the most significant considerations in picking up multiple winners is the track bias, which favors horses that don’t get too far back in the run at Flemington Racecourse. As a result, horses drawn on the inside have a better chance of performing well compared to those drawn towards the outside. I have factored in this aspect when making my multi bets, taking into account the horses' respective preps and their drawn barrier positions. Follow below for a multi to track over race day!

R2 - #4 - Good And Proper- WIN $2.20
R3 - #4 - She Dances- PLC $1.45
R5 - #9 - Running By- PLC $1.20

Best Promotions for Sandown Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
