Canterbury R5 James Squire (Bm72) 1250m
Selections:
#4 Silentsar - $2.70
#3 Oakfield Duke - $6.50
#8 Hi Dubai - $13.00
#5 Yasuke - $3.80
BEST BET - #4 - Silentsar
Last time, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Rosehill, he showed us exactly what he's made of. With Tim Clark in the saddle, he's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Doesn't mind running fourth-up as Silentsar has proven success when it's in this situation.
THE DANGER - #3 - Oakfield Duke
Last time out, it finished 3rd out of 7 in the BM72 at Canterbury on June 10. That race was over 1250m on a soft track and it came in 2.2 lengths behind Accredited (58.5kg). Definitely among the winning chances. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.
VALUE BET - #8 - Hi Dubai
Last start, Hi Dubai was 8th of 10 at Hawkesbury on June 18 over 1100m on a soft track, 5.1 lengths behind World Alliance (60kg) with 58.5kg at $3.70. But it should improve here. Canterbury stats are excellent, having not finished outside the top 3 yet.
Canterbury R6 Tab (Bm72) 1100m
Selections:
#5 Chief Conductor - $2.70
#6 Deep Rouge - $11.00
#12 Welcome Gypsy - $13.00
#8 Oceans One - $6.50
BEST BET - #5 - Chief Conductor
On June 8 at Randwick in a BM78 over 1000m, Chief Conductor started slow and finished 5th out of 14, while carrying 56.5kg at $41.00 odds. Previously has had plenty of success when it's running third-up, so I like it's chances.
THE DANGER - #6 - Deep Rouge
With Siena Grima on board last start, won at Scone (1000m). So hopefully that form continues into Wednesday's race. On Wednesday, Olivia Chambers is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. In winning form, don't look past it.
VALUE BET - #12 - Welcome Gypsy
Welcome Gypsy showed some promise at Newcastle last time. In it's last start, Welcome Gypsy placed 3rd out of 8 in a BM64 on June 15 over 900m, on a heavy track, just 2.8 lengths behind One Kind (55kg) with 58.5kg at $7.00. In winning form, don't look past it.
Canterbury R7 All Too Hard @ Vinery Stud (Bm72) 1550m
Selections:
#1 The Creator - $3.80
#3 The Little Pumper - $3.70
#6 Enotis - $12.00
#10 She's Unusual - $3.10
BEST BET - #1 - The Creator
Last start, beat The Little Pumper (58kg) at Canterbury over 1550m at the starting price of $2.70. That was a good win and I like The Creator on Wednesday too, especially with Molly Bourke on board from barrier 5. In winning form, don't look past it.
THE DANGER - #3 - The Little Pumper
The Little Pumper showed promise at Canterbury on June 19, finishing 2nd out of 8 in a BM72 on a soft track, just 1.5 lengths behind The Creator (60.5kg) with 58kg at $8.00. With that run under its belt, The Little Pumper is expected to improve and I think is a strong contender for this race. Solid top 3 record at track, have a crack.
VALUE BET - #6 - Enotis
Last time this horse hit the track, Enotis put in a better effort, and that's something to take note of for Wednesday's race. With Zac Lloyd riding, you know that Enotis has got a jockey who can handle business. Third-up shouldn't be an issue, has looked good this prep.
