Wednesday Racing Tips - Canterbury Racecourse 07/08/2024

Massive day of Wednesday horse racing tips at Canterbury and I have looked at some of the top races, starting with Race 5 in the afternoon.

BEST BET - #2 - Demarcay - (BEST BET)
In good form and has strong claims to win on Wednesday. Last start was a good one, placing 2nd in a BM72 at Canterbury over 1900m.

THE DANGER - #3 - The Englishman
In its last race, The Englishman was 4th at Randwick on July 27 over 1800m, just 3.3 lengths behind Go Troppo (57.5kg). This should be another race where I think it can potentially improve and get over the field.

VALUE BET  - #7 - Victory Roll
I like the look of Victory Roll in Race 5 at Canterbury on Wednesday. Previously won at Randwick over 1800m, carrying 57.5kg. That was a really good win, so I think Victory Roll should be tough to beat on Wednesday too. Likes running second-up, good record.

BEST BET - #3 - Flying Destiny - (NEXT BEST)
In strong form and has good claims to win on Wednesday. Last start was an almost win, finishing 2nd in a BM72 over 1250m at Canterbury. Previous success running first-up in it's career and should enjoy the racing conditions at Canterbury.

THE DANGER - #1 - Cloudland
Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Newcastle, it showed us exactly what he's made of. With Benjamin Osmond in the saddle, its a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Likes running first-up.

VALUE BET  - #10 - Molly Nails
Last start, Molly Nails was 9th of 10 at Rosehill on July 20 over 1200m on a soft track, 4.2 lengths behind Llanddwyn (55.5kg) with 57kg at $19.00. But it should improve here. Loves the distance and I hope that continues over the 1250m.

BEST BET - #5 - Yasuke
Yasuke showed form on July 17 at Randwick-Kensington , placing 2nd out of 7 in a BM72 on a soft track, just 0.2 lengths behind Little Cointreau (60kg) with 59kg at $13.00.After that race, I think Yasuke can potentially improve and possibly get the win this time. Has enjoyed success in wet conditions and the track conditions should be suitable.

THE DANGER - #6 - Noble Conqueror
In good form and has strong claims to win on Wednesday. Last start was a good one, placing 2nd in a BM70 at Sandown-Lakeside over 1400m.

VALUE BET - #8 - Leica Storm
Last run, it finished 3rd at Tamworth over 950m. Should be right in the thick of things. Decent record fourth-up so I like it each-way.
