Wednesday Racing Tips - Caulfield Racecourse 16/10/2024

For my Wednesday racing tips at Caulfield, I've got a best bet of the day that can't miss, as well as some roughies to watch out for.

#4 Marble Arch - $4.60
#5 Freak Of Nature - $7.00
#6 Regal Zeus - $7.00

BEST BET - #9 - Verdad - (BEST BET)
In strong form and has good claims to win on Wednesday. Last start was an almost win, finishing 2nd in a BM84 over 1400m at Sandown-Hillside. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.

THE DANGER - #4 - Marble Arch
Last start, beat Klabel (56kg) at Morphettville Parks over 1250m at the starting price of $2.15. That was a good win and I like Marble Arch on Wednesday too, especially with Mark Zahra on board from barrier 12.

VALUE BET - #5 - Freak Of Nature
I like the look of Freak Of Nature in Race 6 at Caulfield on Wednesday. Previously won at Sandown-Hillside over 1400m, carrying 56.5kg. That was a really good win, so I think Freak Of Nature should be tough to beat on Wednesday too.

BEST BET - #6 - Nadal - (NEXT BEST)
Finished 4th on September 14 at Flemington after a spell. Should be fitter second-up and has won before over 1100m.

THE DANGER - #2 - Beast Mode
Beast Mode showed form on September 27 at Moonee Valley, placing 2nd out of 8 in a BM84 on a good track, just 0.5 lengths behind Holy Racket (55.5kg) with 56.5kg at $5.50. After that race, I think Beast Mode can potentially improve and possibly get the win this time. I think it could be a nice safe each way bet.

VALUE BET - #4 - Is It Me
Finished 4th on June 15 at Sandown-Hillside. That should be a good form guide for this race. Fourth-up should not be a problem for this horse.

BEST BET - #8 - Kingswood
John Allen was on board the last run and won over 1800m at Sandown-Hillside. So I think that's a good form guide for Wednesday's race and should be tough to beat down the straight.

THE DANGER - #4 - Touristic
Last race, Touristic was 6th out of 7 at Newcastle on September 20 on a good track over 2300m, 4.9 lengths behind Etna Rosso (54kg) with 56kg at $5.50. But it should improve here. I think it could be a nice safe each way bet.

VALUE BET - #5 - Too Close The Sun
Ready to hit peak form now. Came 2nd last start at Benalla with J Mott in the saddle.

Wednesday racing comes to you from Caufield and Warwick Farm this week. It figures to be a busy week ahead for Caufield Racecourse as the Caulfield Cup is on this weekend. So this mid-week meeting should feature some quality races for punters to enjoy.
