BEST BET - #9 - Unusual Legacy - (BEST BET)
In its recent race at Randwick, Unusual Legacy came in third, not too far behind 1st and 2nd. After that run, it should have a good chance of running a place in this race. Joao Moreira is in good form and should be able to get a good run.

THE DANGER - #14 - Birdman
Birdman is coming over from Ireland for his first run in Australian conditions. He won the first 2 races of his career and has won over this distance.

VALUE BET - #2 - Francesco Guardi
The last run was a 7th finish at Flemington over 2000m in an Open. But, I think Francesco Guardi could run well here from barrier 15.

BEST BET - #11 - Moby Dick - (NEXT BEST)
Last start, it tried hard but was outgunned, finishing 4th of 14 at Flemington in a BM78 over 1200m, 0.2 lengths behind Zebella (56kg). I expect this runner to finish strong and should offer good value odds for punters on Wednesday.

THE DANGER - #5 - Yellow Sam
Yellow Sam has been impressive second-up and has an excellent record over 1200m. She has also won at this track before.

VALUE BET - #7 - Talbragar
Resuming on Wednesday. Talbragar has won 4 of 5 when he is first-up. So he seems to love running after a spell and could be a big danger in this field.

BEST BET - #7 - Oh Too Good
Last time out, this horse made a late surge and finished a close second over 1400m at Caulfield, just behind the winner Extratwo (58kg). Is definitely one to watch and could be hard to beat. This horse goes on top for me.

THE DANGER - #6 - Modown
Modown showed some promise at Sandown-Hillside last time. In its last start, Modown placed 3rd out of 15 in a BM84 on September 28 over 1400m, on a good track, just 3.1 lengths behind Verdad (59kg) with 54kg at $4.80.

VALUE BET - #4 - Electric Impulse
At Sandown-Hillside on September 28, Electric Impulse finished 6th out of 11, while carrying 58kg at $5.50 odds. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.

The Geelong Cup is the feature race this Wednesday and trainer Chris Waller should expect a good showing from his stable. Unusually Legacy and Birdman are both atop the tops at this stage, so we could be looking at a Waller double if things go his way.
