BEST BET - #1 - Centre Bounce (NEXT BEST)
This looks like a race in two and I am keen to stick with the Matty Dunn trained Centre bounce who we have had in our best bets tips before earlier this year. She is a well bred filly that hasn’t been seen at the races since the beginning of February this year where she finished well down the track in town at Eagle Farm. She’s had a nice break to improve further and it looks like she has off the back of two sharp trials last month, the most recent of which was particularly pleasing to the eye. She gets a soft run from barrier two and with Bullock on I don’t see them running badly.
THE DANGER - #3 - Tres Redoute
The market is giving plenty of respect to Desleigh Forster’s Tres Redoute who resumed at Lismore a few weeks ago and off a long twenty three week spell and was bumped at the start, raced a bit greenly but her class saw her peel widest in the run and power home in the straight for a smart first up win. She obviously gets an honest contest here but Jimmy Orman takes the ride, they draw well and she will have plenty more to offer second up here.
VALUE BET - #4 - Award Me
Award me has been racing too well to be ignored here. She’s had just the two starts for Marcus Wilson since changing camps from Danny O’Brien earlier this year and both have been fantastic. She resumed at Ipswich off a thirteen week break over the 1200m mid May when jumping with the leaders early, doing it tough no cover out wide and still finding the line well enough to win. She backed that run up with a very game second placing at Ballina last time out when four weeks between runs and now comes into this hard fit, third up with more to offer and I think she is a top chance for the trifecta.
