Wednesday Racing Tips - Kyneton Racecourse 08/11/23

Racing returns to Kyneton racecourse this Wednesday with a $440k card set. There are eight races to be run and won and I think we will see some very nice horses step out who are coming back from a Metro level and some who are progressing towards higher grades. I have run through the card and picked out my three best betting spots so follow me below as I outline the race day at Kyneton this Wednesday!

Kyneton R3 - Macedon Ranges Glass Mdn Plate (1454m)

Selections:
#5 - Herrlich - $3.20
#10 - Sea Of Lights - $4.40
#9 - Futatsu - $6.50
#2 - Sportsbeat (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $7.00

BEST BET - #5 - Herrlich
Herrlich has had just the one career start for Danny O’Brien and I think he looks very well placed at just his second start to go over here. The debut came at Warrnambool where he set third along the rail and shifted out to chase strongly in the straight to just miss in a bob of the heads finish. Will be even better for that run and well placed here.

THE DANGER - #10 - Sea Of Lights
Sea Of Lights looks like a smart horse who has come back in good order here at just his second start for his career. He resumed off of a 26 week spell over the 1200m at Ballarat when setting deep in the run and improving throughout to fight hard to the line and finish just behind the placegetters in a solid effort that saw him wide throughout the whole run. He should improve sharply off the back of that.

VALUE BET  - #2 - Sportsbeat (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Smart horse here in Sportsbeat who keeps getting very close and is due a win. He came off of five week break from racing when last stepping out at Bendigo where he stepped out over this distance and missed the start to set near the rear on the fence before shifting out wider and powering home hard to make heaps of ground in the final 175m without really posing as a threat to the winner but it was a great effort there. Well placed here.

Kyneton R6 - Prendergast Earthmoving (Bm70) (1454m)

Selections:
#7 - Pungo (NEXT BEST) - $4.80
#6 - Proscenium Arch - $3.30
#4 - Commander Harry - $6.00
#3 - Sheer Class - $8.00

BEST BET - #7 - Pungo (NEXT BEST)
Pungo doesn’t win out of turn but he does seem to have come back well to racing for Chris Waller and I think he had excuses last start. He seemed to have some issues when being factitious in the gates last time out but was passed fit at the barrier and ran accordingly. Prior to then when resuming off of the spell he ran a very strong return at Mornington and I think third up and hard fit now he will go very well here.

THE DANGER - #6 - Proscenium Arch
Proscenium Arch returns to racing here and takes a big step back in depth here having won previously first up. He was last seen back in the middle of the year at the Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm where he was disappointing for a run when looking strong in the run before fading down the track and not finishing the race off. He now comes back to a much easier competition level and should be a lot better for the track work in the time off.

VALUE BET  - #3 - Sheer Class
Sheer Class should be getting towards peak fitness now for the Hayes boys and should improve off the back of his last start coming into this third up now. His last run saw him trucking along through the run of a 1300m Geelong race when looking to start building momentum from along the rail before being held up from the 500m to 200m and then not being able to get going again when clear. Well placed here.

Kyneton R7 - bet365 Kyneton Cup (2006m)

Selections:
#3 - Red Sun Sensation (BEST BET) - $2.90
#1 - Convener - $3.30
#6 - Ruling - $7.60
#7 - Flash Mary  - $10.00

BEST BET - #3 - Red Sun Sensation (BEST BET)
Red Sun Sensation drops well back in grade here for Peter Moody after last contesting the JRA Cup two weeks back at The Valley where he found the lead and gave a strong kick to only go down late to one other runner in Ain’tnodeeldun. That is A1 form for this race and if he still has steam in the tank he should be winning this.

THE DANGER - #1 - Convener
Convener should be improving sharply second up here off the back of returning in the Moe Cup and I think he looks very well placed in this race now. He resumed off of a 21 week spell when chasing massively from way too far back after missing the start but being very strong still to place runner up there. The drop back in distance is interesting but he’s two from four on this trip and should go well here.

VALUE BET - #7 - Flash Mary
Flash Mary comes into this third up and ready to fire again after going over at Cranbourne over this trip about a month ago when putting in a very impressive effort after setting seventh and in the run and running two wide through the trip before shifting out wider and storming down the top of the straight to just keep grinding the leaders down and win in the final 100m. More upside to come and will be strong late again.

Multi Tips For Kyneton

I think that we have to tread lightly with a multi on such a competitive day of racing with so many of these horses having been geared for the races on this card. As such, I have given favour to those horses who have drawn good gates, are well weighted and who have top jockeys on as these factors can be all the advantage you need for a win in the circumstances. Best Promotions for Kyneton Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
