Wednesday Racing Tips - Randwick-Kensington Racecourse 14/02/24

Racing comes back to Randwick-Kensington this Wednesday for another sharp card this week as we are underway with the Autumn Group 1 races season after things kicked off last weekend and I have run through this week’s card and picked out a best bet, next best and best outside chance of the day so follow me below as I run through the card!

#6 - Chateau Miraval (BEST BET) - $2.20

BEST BET - #3 - Growing Empire 
Chateau Miraval looks to follow in suit with the regular way that the Waterhouse / Bott juveniles do and make the debut a winning one after flying in a bunch of sharp trials to lead him into racing. He’s had three trials prior to coming here for the debut and the last two have been very sharp efforts where he has stepped out and bolted in to win both times. Set to make it a winning debut.

THE DANGER - #1 - Deputize
Deputize has had just the one run to kick the career off for Annabel Neasham but rates highly with plenty of improvement coming into this second up. He was bumped at the jump when debuting to the races here a couple weeks ago in a strong race that saw him set near the rear of the field and never really get clear air but still run home strongly into midfield there.

VALUE BET  - #3 - Growing Empire 
Growing Empire looks like a strong debutant for Ciaron Maher who shapes up well here. He has had three trials to ready him for racing with the last two being at Rosehill with the most recent of which being a win two weeks back off which he looks very sharp and ready for the debut. Go well here.

BEST BET - #4 - Treize
Treize has only put in good efforts this prep for John Sargent and comes back here after stepping out two weeks ago at Rosehill where he led along the fence and still gave a solid kick in the straight but just found one better there. He’s hard fit, steps back in depth here and gets a claimer aboard and I think all things considered he runs well here.

THE DANGER - #5 - Bindi's Choice
Bindi’s Choice has only been running well in her short nine start career with three wins aboard for David Pfieffer and returned well to racing off of a 20 week spell when last stepping out. He came back to racing over the 1200m at Newcastle where he came widest in the straight and still jetted away to win well. I think he shapes up well off the back of that run.

VALUE BET  - #1 - Deep Romance (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) 
Deep Romance has had two runs back for Nathan Doyle but I think based off of the way the stable is going combined with him coming here third up I think he will go well here. He won first up at Beaumont off of a spell of 28 weeks when running well at Beaumont before taking a three week break and coming back to racing last time out when never able to get into the race but he should be able to atone third up here and hard fit.

BEST BET - #1 - Xidaki (NEXT BEST)
Xidaki is due to get the maiden win out the way here for the Snowden’s and shapes up well here fourth up after running a bunch of close placings this time in. Most of them have come in higher grade racing with the last time he ran being a 1250m race here two weeks ago where he came from behind the speed and wide to power home and only find one horse better late. He shapes up well here off the back of that effort.

THE DANGER - #4 - Autumnmation
Autumnnmation comes here third up off of a 16 week spell and hard fit, ready to fire here. He resumed at Canterbury over the 1250m where he ran well just behind the winner to finish runner up before not being able to get fully into the race last time out at Canterbury where he came from not the easiest of spots to pass a few stragglers late. He shapes up well hard fit here third up.

VALUE BET - #3 - Superstitious
Superstitious has to rate as some sort of chance here for the Ryan and Alexiou camp. He’s having his first prep for the stable after coming off of a 15 week break and running twice at Canterbury. The first time he stepped out he came from behind the speed to run on well late into the placings in a race that has had two winners come out of it before just battling last time out behind the exacta. He can continue to improve third up and hard fit here.
