Wednesday Racing Tips - Rosehill Racecourse 15/11/23

Racing returns to Rosehill this Wednesday for a bumper seven race card and there are some high level sprints and staying races as we see horses who look towards Saturday grade racing and also some who are coming back from campaigns this Group 1 races season and I have picked out my three best betting spots on the card and as such am keen to run through them and give you guys some good bets for tomorrow so follow me below!

BEST BET - #4 - Vanquished (BEST BET)
Vanquished looks like a smart horse for the Gai / Bott stable and the way that they are going with their juveniles I think that he looks very well placed to get the maiden win checked off here. He had a bunch of trials before resuming off of a 25 week spell and leading last time out before giving a strong kick and just falling short in the concluding stages. Fitter now, up in trip, he’s the one to beat for me.

THE DANGER - #7 - Sensory
Sensory is another smart animal who looks well placed here for Chris Waller and gets the booking of Jmac which will only aid his chances here. He’s had just the one run this time in which came two weeks back where he set at the rear of the field before shifting out wider on the turn and powering home in a huge debut display to finish in the placings. More upside to come, looks suited out in trip, dangerous.

VALUE BET  - #1 - Dolzino
Dolzino came very close last start to checking off the maiden win and whilst he doesn’t have as much upside as some coming into this he is hard fit now fourth up and ready to win. He last stepped out just shy of two weeks ago at Kembla Grange where he led and gave a strong kick in the straight to just bump into a smart horse late when finishing second. Should be strong here either way.

BEST BET - #2 - Fleetwood (NEXT BEST)
I think that even under the big weight it’s going to take a smart horse to stop Fleetwood for the Godolphin stable. He’s putting together a handy record having only been out of the placings once in his four career starts and I think that he shapes up well now to get another win on board off the back of a resumption placing at Kensington a couple weeks back where he was only beaten by one smart horse in Gustissimo.

THE DANGER - #7 - Armed Forces 
Armed Forces takes a big step back in grade here for Chris Waller, is hard fit and will be prominent here undoubtedly. He comes out of the Brian Cowley Stakes a few weeks back where he was never really given a chance to get into the race when being blocked for a run from the 400m to 200m but the placing prior was very sharp and I think he rates highly off the back of that.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Yankee One

Yankee One has only had the two career starts for Maher and Eustace but has been incredibly sharp in both of them. He won his debut outing at Gosford where he came off heels on the turn and powered away from them to win well. There’s been a subsequent winner out of that race which is always positive and the way he ran on last start to only miss by half a head when second showed that win was no fluke. Hard fit third up and a win wouldn’t shock at all.

BEST BET - #6 - The King
The King seems like a class animal for the Snowdens and I think can easily get another win on board here. He has had four runs this time in and all have been full of merit on his way to working towards his win with a bunch of sharp placings before stepping out over the 1200m at Kembla Grange last time out and leading by two lengths before giving a small kick in the straight to win very well there when having plenty on them. Well placed again to go back to back.

THE DANGER - #2 - Cloudland 
Cloudland resumed off of a twenty week break for Kris Lees over the 1250m at Kensington and was extremely impressive resuming there when he was held up behind the pace on the way to the straight and kept looking for a split and chasing hard until one came and he was powering away to win very well in an impressive return to racing. He takes on a big weight here but has upside to come and should be strong here.

VALUE BET - #7 - Sumptuary ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Sumptuary comes up at a big price here and I am keen to have something on him here. He has won three of his seven career starts already and after resuming with a win he has already put together another two sharp runs and when he last stepped out in Saturday grade at Randwick he ran on very well into third behind some smart horses and should now be at his peak coming into this. Big price, I am keen to have something on.

Avdulla has found great form this year with a near 50% place rate and near 20% strike rate. He has been super consistent in NSW and that has been recognised to a large extent by the bookings that he has been getting. He gets a top selection of rides for some prominent stables such as James Cummings and Chris Waller and I think he is a top shot to pick up at least one win on Wednesday at Rosehill.

Whilst it is scary to tip in some of the bigger field races I think that with it being early in the season and a lot of runners being on resumption that there are some clear top picks in each field and as such I have combined my best runners of the day into a place multi. Whilst it might not be the same level of value we generally get I think that it is a worthwhile bet and has a good chance of coming in
