Wednesday Racing Tips - Sale Racecourse 07/06/23

We have a pretty good card for Midweek racing at Sale tomorrow, better than I have seen in some time and I am very excited for what looks like more than a handful of solid betting spots at the Victorian Racecourse. There are nine races set for the card with the four early races being steeple / hurdles and then onto the sprints and staying races which I will be tipping in. It should make for a very good day of racing so follow me below as I outline my best spots on the Sale card.

Sale R6 - Ladbrokes Hub Mdn Plate (1208m)

Selections:
#7 - Queen Of The Green - $2.45
#1 - Cause For Concern - $6.00
#6 - Think I'm Divine - $4.00
#9 - Miss Jenni Lynn (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $7.00

BEST BET - #7 - Queen Of The Green
Queen Of The Green looks like the straight bat option in the opener for the M Price & M K Jnr stable and is taking a huge step back in competition for this after resuming just over two weeks ago at Mornington in the G3 Petaluma when just needing the run. She should improve sharply off the back of that and will be sitting back to launch late over the field here.

THE DANGER - #1 - Cause For Concern
I like the look of the Shawn Matthew’s trained Cause for Concern who comes into this third up and four only her fifth overall run in her career here. She’s had excuses in two runs back from a spell, resuming strongly at Warracknabeal when hitting the line hard at the 200m and starting to draw clear of them but was held up at a key time there and couldn’t be in the finish, just behind the placegetters in the end. She got going just a tad too late last time and now will be hard fit, much better for the mistakes and experience and can put it all together now.

VALUE BET  - #9 - Miss Jenni Lynn (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
I am most keen on Miss Jenni Lynn in this race. The Maher and Eustace trained three year old had the one run back at the beginning of March at Sandown where I was keen on her prospects and she was strong in a very good maiden, motoring home between runners in a smart run to end up fourth. She was then sent back to the paddock and has since resumed at Kilmore as a short favourite where she duly saluted, having far too much for them there. Will improve second up and gets a big jockey upgrade to the flying Zac Spain. I am very keen to follow her through her career.

Sale R7 - Graham Chalmer R/E (Bm64) (2232m)

Selections:
#1 - Alhambra Lad (NEXT BEST)  - $5.50
#6 - Dahwilly - $3.10
#3 - The Awesome Son - $14.00
#2 - Project Gutenberg - $13.00

BEST BET - #1 - Alhambra Lad (NEXT BEST)
Quite keen on the chances of the Patrick Payne trained Alhambra Lad who I think is sneaky flying and has a very good chance of taking this out. He was racing back from Metro tracks when resuming off a two month break mid last month and was eye-catching from out wide, working from the very back of the field to end up third over the 2000m. He seemed to have a couple issues last time out at Sandown and i think with the claim from Campbell, fitness third up being right and the race experience he will be hard to beat now.

THE DANGER - #6 - Dahwilly
Giving respect to the Alison Bennet trained Dahwilly who has looked very close to picking up his third career victory and seems to get a great set up for it here. He’s been up around the mark for some time this prep, just taking a few runs for fitness and to get going but has looked very good in his last three runs since coming to the 2000m+ distances. Mott’s been with her all prep and sticks, they should sit back off a genuine tempo and be ready to launch late.

VALUE BET  - #3 - The Awesome Son
The Awesome Son is probably going to want one more but if he is ready third up here then he is going to look a lot shorter than a $14 chance. His lone win came third up and he goes into this having had a tick over trial at the end of last week to make sure he’s ready which I think is positive. Hasn’t done an awful lot thus far this prep but looks like he’s been working towards something like this and takes a big step back in competition racing back from Metro tracks. I think he will go close.

Sale R9 - Ladbroke It (Bm64) (1419m)

Selections:
#15 - Ivan's Hero (BEST BET)  - $3.40
#7 - King Neptune - $3.90
#4 - Proprietary  - $6.00
#5 - True Grit - $10.00

BEST BET - #15 - Ivan's Hero (BEST BET)
Ivan’s Hero was scratched from a race this Tuesday in favour of this and I think that was a smart choice seeing as he’ll be suited having his toe in the ground and draws barrier five for this so it will give Daniel Stackhouse a tonne of options from there. This Waller runner resumes from a two or so month let up and I am not ready to hop off him just yet even if he has been disappointing thus far. He broke Maiden at the end of Janurary with a smart win at Kilmore and has since been racing up in grade in town. He comes back to country level now and the stable will be sure to have him tuned up for this return. Top chance.

THE DANGER - #7 - King Neptune
King Neptune is a Phillip Stokes runner who I have plenty of time for and has been having a cracker second preparation at the races, having really found himself in his last three, placing closely in two of them and recording a win two back at Cranbourne. He has looked very good since getting out to this distance in his past two and only needs to hold form now to be a top winning chance again.

VALUE BET - #4 - Proprietary
I am a big fan of the things Greg Eurell has been doing this season and am always keen to be on in form stables. He puts forward Proprietary for this race who has had just the three career starts at the races, breaking maiden in start one at Mornington with seemingly plenty in hand to record a smart and dominant win before a tough run at Moonee Valley when far from disgraced. He’d been sent away for a break and has since resumed off an 18 week spell when just plugging along at Pakenham on return. Jockey suggested Blinkers then and they go on now. I think, forgive that first up run, he should go very well here second up now.

Multi Tips For Sale

I think that we have to tread lightly with a multi on such a competitive day of racing with so many of these horses having been geared for the races on this card. As such, I have given favour to those horses who have drawn good gates, are well weighted and who have top jockeys on as these factors can be all the advantage you need for a win in the circumstances. Best Promotions for Sale Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
