Sandown Hillside R1 - Sportsbet Jockey Watch (Bm70) (1000m)

Selections:
#4 - Gilmore (NEXT BEST) - $3.30
#2 - Lazy Susan - $4.00
#1 - Arctic Fairy - $3.90
#3 - Meetmein Melbourne- $4.50

BEST BET - #4 - Gilmore (NEXT BEST)
Very strong race to kick off the card here but I think the leading contender and solid opening bet for the day is Gilmore for the Snowden’s here. He’s won two of his twelve career starts and been placed in a further six and returned to racing off of a 12 week spell last time out at The Valley a couple weeks ago where he did plenty of work from out wide to power home into second place. He has a very good second up record and looks like he has returned well enough to be winning this.

THE DANGER - #2 - Lazy Susan
Lazy Susan looks the main danger here for the Bedggood stable coming here off of a win and multiple subsequent close placings. His most recent run saw him step out at the Lakeside track here over the 1200m where he led and kicked hard in the straight but was just overrun by one smart horse in the last 50m. He shapes up very well off the back of that effort, hard fit here and only runs well for me.

VALUE BET  - #3 - Meetmein Melbourne
Meetmein Melbourne is another progressive looking animal who comes here first up for the McEvoy’s and looks like he can make an impression here. He’s won three of his nine starts and been placed in a further four of them and now comes back here with a good draw, Houston aboard which gives him a key 3kg claim and should be strong here with all those factors.

Sandown Hillside R4 - Thoroughbred Club Australia (Bm64) (1500m)

Selections:
#6 - Fire Of Etna - $3.40
#10 - The Autumn Belle - $5.50
#3 - Artzino - $5.50
#12 - Thinking Rain (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $7.50

BEST BET - #6 - Fire Of Etna
Fire Of Etna looks the straight bat option for Anthony and Sam Freedman here after winning at Seymour first up and continuing to progress through the grades this prep and she strikes a winnable race here off the back of a run at The Valley last time out where she set three deep in the run and was only out kicked at the 200m but still kept fighting to the line. She should roll forward from the midfield draw and looks very well placed here under Currie’s steering.

THE DANGER - #10 - The Autumn Belle
Hard to knock The Autumn Belle after the way she has come back to racing for the Dwyer camp with a close third placing first up off of a 19 week spell before stepping out at Seymour and blasting a field and then backing up last time out at Geelong where she again proved far too good for them despite being held up from the 500m to 200m she still proved too strong once clear. Rates highly again here.

VALUE BET  - #12 - Thinking Rain (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Thinking Rain has been excellent since coming across to Annabel Neasham and shapes up well here again off the back of a close runner up placing on the Lakeside portion of this track. That was his first run out at BM64 grade and stepping up to the mile where he only really went down in the last 50m. The win prior at Pakenham was very sharp and I think he’s learning a lot under the new stable. Shapes up well here.

Sandown Hillside R8 - Sportsbet Make It Look Easy (Bm64) (1800m)

Selections:
#13 - Freight Train (BEST BET) - $2.10
#12 - So Sleek - $8.00
#15 - Inevitable Award - $9.00
#7 - Midnight Glow- $9.50

BEST BET - #13 - Freight Train (BEST BET)
The Price and Kent camp seem to have their hands on another good one in Freight Train and I am keen enough to follow him that I am betting on a get out. He debuted mid february at Pakenham where he set sixth and two wide the trip over the mile before shifting out three wide on the turn and chasing strongly to salute in the final 75m or so. That was an incredibly bold effort on debut and untrialled and he will retain a stack of benefit off of that run. I think he puts these away.

THE DANGER - #12 - So Sleek
So Sleek should be at around his peak third up here and should be strong coming back in grade. He resumed at Cranbourne off of a 24 week spell when not doing too much but retaining a nice fitness benefit before stepping out a few weeks between runs and chasing steadily from the back. He now gets turned around quicker, gets a good draw and should be running well here hard fit third up.

VALUE BET - #7 - Midnight Glow
Midnight Glow showed massive improvement last time out and has to rate as a key chance here off the back of that run. He has taken a few runs to build fitness this time in but after those he stepped out at The Valley last time out and came from the outside to fight hard to the line in an effort that saw him place second there. That reads very well for this assignment so all things considered he’s worth a look.

He is known to perform exceptionally well on major race days, and he has secured a significant number of rides for this weekend's racing at Sandown Hillside Park Lakeside, I have outlined them all below:

Multi Tips For Sandown Hillside Racecourse

One of the most significant considerations in picking up multiple winners is the track bias, which favors horses that don’t get too far back in the run at Flemington Racecourse. As a result, horses drawn on the inside have a better chance of performing well compared to those drawn towards the outside. I have factored in this aspect when making my multi bets, taking into account the horses' respective preps and their drawn barrier positions. Follow below for a multi to track over race day!

Sandown Hillside R8 - #13 - Freight Train - PLC $1.24
Sandown Hillside R1 - #4 - Gilmore - PLC $1.65
Sandown Hillside R4 - #12 - Thinking Rain - PLC $2.45

Total Odds = $5.00

Best Promotions for Sandown Hillside Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
