Sandown R4 Sportsbet Photo Finish Refund (Bm64) 1600m
Selections:
#7 Nusumi - $5.50
#6 Nodachi - $4.80
#11 Sweet Jasmine - $8.00
#1 Furlanetto - $5.00
BEST BET - #7 - Nusumi
Nusumi showed some promise at Sandown-Lakeside last time. In it's last start, Nusumi placed 3rd out of 9 in a BM64 on June 5 over 1600m, on a good track, just 0.6 lengths behind Pacific Cross (58.5kg) with 59kg at $4.20. I think its a real genuine each way chance.
THE DANGER - #6 - Nodachi
Last race was a 3rd place finish at Sandown-Hillside over 1300m. Hasn't placed at the distance yet but has a respectable record on soft tracks with 4 placings in 8 starts.
VALUE BET - #11 - Sweet Jasmine
Last start, beat Redevance (59.5kg) at Moe over 1623m at the starting price of $1.70. That was a good win and I like Sweet Jasmine on Wednesday too, especially with Thomas Stockdale on board from barrier 5. Has enjoyed racing third-up in it's career.
Sandown R5 Tile Importer (Bm70) 1300m
Selections:
#5 Shaime - $4.80
#7 Corner Off - $4.80
#11 Eishaa - $8.50
#3 Hazel Baby - $5.00
BEST BET - #5 - Shaime
With Craig Williams on board last start, won at Mornington (1200m). So hopefully that form continues into Wednesday's race. On Wednesday, Damian Lane is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. In good form at the moment, so hopefully that continues.
THE DANGER - #7 - Corner Off
Last time out at Ballarat Synthetic, Corner Off was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think he's got a more favourable draw, which should give him a better shot. With that advantage, he's definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In his last start, Corner Off was 57kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind Rosalia (57.5kg) over 1200m after being right in the thick of things around the corner.
VALUE BET - #11 - Eishaa
Eishaa showed some promise at Sandown-Hillside last time. In it's last start, Eishaa placed 3rd out of 13 in a BM70 on June 19 over 1300m, on a soft track, just 2.6 lengths behind Awapuni Princess (57kg) with 56.5kg at $21.00. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.
Sandown R6 Stow Storage Solutions (Bm74) 1300m
Selections:
#7 He's Beset - $2.70
#15 Written In Code - $3.80
#5 Rogue Rocker - $6.00
#3 Baroque Road - $6.00
BEST BET - #7 - He's Beset
He's Beset showed promise at Sandown-Lakeside on June 2, finishing 2nd out of 9 in a BM74 on a good track, just 0.8 lengths behind Bigolino (59kg) with 59.5kg at $3.50. With that run under its belt, He's Beset is expected to improve and I think is a strong contender for this race. In winning form, don't look past it.
THE DANGER - #15 - Written In Code
Last start, finished 3rd of 13 at Mornington in a BM78 over 1200m, just 1.9 lengths behind Beour Bay (59.5kg) carrying 56kg at $6.50. In nice form at the moment, so hopefully can run well.
VALUE BET - #5 - Rogue Rocker
Last time this horse hit the track, Rogue Rocker put in a better effort, and that's something to take note of for Wednesday's race. With Celine Gaudray riding, you know that Rogue Rocker has got a jockey who can handle business.
