Wednesday Racing Tips - Sandown Racecourse 15/05/2024

Massive day of racing on Wednesday at Sandown in Victoria and I have done the form to give you the best betting tips for a punt!

BEST BET - Heart Of Glass

She's coming off a solid win at Bendigo where she beat a tough competitor who's since gone on to win. Plus, they've got Jaylah Kennedy in the saddle today, which could give them an extra edge. Heart Of Glass had a good run first-up at Bendigo, getting up narrowly for the win. 

THE DANGER - Hearcomesthestar

She's carrying a hefty 62kg today, but she's earned it with her performances. While she hasn't carried this much weight before, she's shown she's a quality filly, even tackling stakes level races without disgrace. 

VALUE BET - Mrs Supergrass

Despite being overrun late on debut, she bounced back with an impressive win at Sale. With a 100% place rate in her career and a convincing win last time out, she's one to keep an eye on that's for sure. Plus, with Jamie Mott back in the saddle, she'll be aiming to make it two wins in a row.

BEST BET - Little Miss Kubi

She's lining up perfectly for this run and comes into it third up after just missing out on a win by a breath at Flemington. With Shinn back in the saddle, she's got a real shot at redemption. Little Miss Kubi has tasted victory at this track and distance before and has put in solid performances when racing third-up in the past. 

THE DANGER - Excess

This horse knows how to jump and run, and with her regular rider back in action, she's ready to give it her all. Both of her wins have come over the 1000m distance, so she's right at home here. With Beau Mertens on board, she's secured two wins and a second place in her career, showing she's got some real potential. Plus, she's got a solid record at this distance, with two wins and a second in three career starts.

VALUE BET - I Choose You

She's coming off a close finish in the same race and is now back to her preferred distance of 1000m. With Lane in the saddle and an inside draw, she's got a good chance to map out the right race strategy. Plus, she's shown she can perform well when fourth-up and has even notched up a win in soft conditions back in March over 1100m.

BEST BET - Rain Lord

This horse has a knack for finishing second in all its first-up runs and really shines over this trip. It's been smashing it in Flemington jumpouts, landing both a first and a fourth place. Plus, Rain Lord absolutely loves this distance, never finishing outside the top two in six career starts, including two wins. And guess what? Jamie Kah, one of the top jockeys in the country, is on board for the first time.

THE DANGER - Inundation

This horse is also making a comeback and has a couple of first-up wins under its belt. It didn't disappoint at The Valley last time fresh, putting up a solid performance. With a stellar first-up record, winning two out of four career starts, and a liking for this distance with four wins out of seven starts, Inundation could give Rain Lord a run for its money.

VALUE BET - Scissor Step

Scissor Step kicked off the season with a win, even carrying a hefty 62kg. Last time out, it put in a good effort despite a tricky draw. And let's not forget the Bendigo trial win on April 23, setting the stage for more success.
