Sandown R6 Stow Storage Solutions (Bm70) 2100m
Selections:
#11 She's A Con - $5.50
#8 Blushing Tycoon - $7.00
#10 Myers Reward - $17.00
#6 Rebadge - $9.50
BEST BET - #11 - She's A Con
Last time out at Sandown-Lakeside, She's A Con was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think he's got a more favourable draw, which should give him a better shot. With that advantage, he's definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In his last start, She's A Con was 56kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind Hard Squeeze (57.5kg) over 2100m after being right in the thick of things around the corner.
THE DANGER - #8 - Blushing Tycoon
In the recent outing for Blushing Tycoon at Morphettville Parks, he came in third, not far behind the leaders. Now that he's fitter, he's got a solid chance of finishing in the top three again, I think. John Allen knows how to handle him too, so don't count him out just yet. Has enjoyed plenty of success at Sandown with a 100% record of finishing in the top-three.
VALUE BET - #10 - Myers Reward
With McDougall on board last start, won at Wangaratta (2000m). So hopefully that form continues into Wednesday's race. On Wednesday, Blaike Mc Dougall is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. Rates a terrific each-way play, I think.
Sandown R7 Tile Importer (Bm70) 1200m
Selections:
#5 Hanau - $2.90
#6 Layeruponlayer - $4.20
#15 Cheval Chic - $9.00
#14 Shaime - $7.50
BEST BET - #5 - Hanau
Last start, Hanau was 6th of 8 at Warwick Farm on July 1 over 814m on a heavy track, 4.4 lengths behind Dark Halo. But it should improve here. Has had success when running second-up, so I like its chances on Wednesday.
THE DANGER - #6 - Layeruponlayer
Last time out at Morphettville Parks, Layeruponlayer was right up there with the leaders and put in a solid effort. He showed great speed and battled on fairly well. This time, I think he's got a more favourable draw, which should give him a better shot. With that advantage, he's definitely among the dangers and one to watch closely. In his last start, Layeruponlayer was 61kg and ended up finishing 2nd, behind Morris Minor (53.5kg) over 1300m after being right in the thick of things around the corner. I think its a real genuine each way chance.
VALUE BET - #15 - Cheval Chic
Previously, it finished 6th of 10 at Sandown-Hillside in a BM70 on June 19, 2024 over 1000m, 1.2 lengths behind Go To Hollywood (58kg). Good stats when running second-up, so it could spring an upset if it gets a good run.
Sandown R8 Sportsbet Feed (Bm70) 1400m
Selections:
#2 Margie's Boy - $4.80
#12 Hughes - $4.60
#10 Heywood - $14.00
#11 Noble Conqueror - $6.50
BEST BET - #2 - Margie's Boy
With Jye McNeil on board last start, won at Sale (1415m). So hopefully that form continues into Wednesday's race. On Wednesday, Jye Mcneil is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. Distance shouldn't be an issue either, loves running 1400m.
THE DANGER - #12 - Hughes
Her last race saw her finish 6th of 12 at Rosehill in a BM72 over 1400m, 4 lengths behind Miss Tarzy carrying 56kg at $11. However, I think Hughes can do a better job here from barrier 9. Third-up shouldn't be an issue, has looked good this prep.
VALUE BET - #10 - Heywood
He's shown he has the ability to be a serious contender and with a bit more luck and a better trip, he’s got a real shot at taking this one. Loves the distance and I hope that continues over the 1400m.
