Warrnambool R6 - Sovereign Resort Galleywood Hrdl (3200m)

Selections:
#2 - Fabalot - $4.20
#10 - The Mighty Spar  - $7.50
#8 - Sky Hero (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $16.00
#5 - Out And Dreaming - $6.50

BEST BET - #2 - Fabalot
I’m tipping in my first hurdle race and Fabalot looks like a good thing going for the Wilde camp coming into this off the back of his third up run at Pakenham a fortnight ago when he stepped off the flats and onto the hurdles and he raced very well at this distance, leading strongly and fighting them off for the most part of the straight before just finding the exacta too sharp in the last 50m. He should be even sharper for this assignment now and rates very highly here.

THE DANGER - #10 - The Mighty Spar
The Mighty Spar can hit back hard here for Mick Walker who is absolutely flying with the runners he has brought across from NZ. He last raced in a Pakenham hurdle when seemingly having every chance but just not getting there behind El Diez. To be fair that was his Australian debut and he will be sharply improved off of that run.

VALUE BET  - # - Sky Hero (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Sky Hero is one I am willing to entertain at longer odds for Amy McDonald. He resumed over the 2600m at Cranbourne when letting down hard from the back of the field and smashed them over the top late when winning very well. His jumps trial recently was sharp and he looks to have overall returned to racing in top shape.

Warrnambool R8 - The Midfield Group Wangoom Hcp (1200m)

Selections:
#13 - Midtown Boss (NEXT BEST) - $5.50
#1 - Tuvalu  - $8.00
#5 - Frankie Pinot - $18.00
#12 - Yellow Sam - $11.00

BEST BET - #13 - Midtown Boss (NEXT BEST)
Leading contender and favourite is Matt Laurie who I think is pretty sharp and should be hard to catch here. He ran down the Flemington straight a couple weeks ago where Zahra gave him a good steer and he was brilliant late, winning well. He meets a tougher field now but will be up to the task, Zahra sticks and I am keen to see what they can produce come race day.

THE DANGER - #1 - Tuvalu
At his best, Tuvalu spanks these. He’s a start the Smith camp who went over to Ascot to run in the Railway Stakes towards the end of last year where he wasn’t able to produce his best but prior to then recorded three back to back placings, two in Group two company and one in the Group one Underwood where he placed a close runner up to Alligator Blood. Think about that form relative to this, combined with him being a bomb fresh horse, has to rate highly here.

VALUE BET  - #5 - Frankie Pinot
Frankie Pinot rarely disappoints in this race. He won it two years ago and then backed it up with a place last year and now comes back to this trip after racing in the Golden Mile at Bendigo where, to my eye, he was very good before just fading late behind El Soleado. I think a solid tempo suits him and he gets in light, has to be respected again this year.

Warrnambool R10 - The Whalers Hotel (Bm70) (1400m)

Selections:
#9 - Jabbawockeez (BEST BET) - $4.20
#4 - Electric Impulse - $5.00
#15 - Hell Hound - $11.00
#1 - Adandiman - $8.50

BEST BET - #9 - Jabbawockeez (BEST BET)
Jabbawockeez is a horse I always have time for and comes here in good enough order for me to want to tip in a get out. He’s a Hayes trained horse who resumed over the 1400m at Caulfield Heath where he wasn’t a winning chance, getting buried deep, but the way he came on strongly late behind Jucconi was brilliant when closing heaps of distance. That’s good form for this, he’ll be improved and should settle closer in the run, looks a good bet.

THE DANGER - #4 - Electric Impulse
Electric Impulse looks the main danger and map horse of the race. She maps to lob onto the speed and she should be tough to catch from there. She came back to racing off of a decent break when trying to lead and instead being posted just outside the leader, giving a solid kick but just not being able to see it through when finishing third. She will be fitter now and will particularly enjoy getting onto a track with a bit of sting out the ground.

VALUE BET - #15 - Hell Hound
If Hell Hound comes here with her best legs she will be competitive at a big price. She raced at Sandown a couple weeks ago where there wasn’t enough juice in the track to do her best work when finishing midfield. She now gets her ideal conditions, is up to this grade and she can improve off the back of that last run.

Multi Tips For Warrnambool

I think that we have to tread lightly with a multi on such a competitive day of racing with so many of these horses having been geared for the races on this card. As such, I have given favour to those horses who have drawn good gates, are well weighted and who have top jockeys on as these factors can be all the advantage you need for a win in the circumstances. Best Promotions for Warrnambool Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
