Wednesday Racing Tips - Warwick Farm Racecourse 11/10/23

Warwick Farm plays host to a massive eight race midweek card as we are well underway with the group 1 races season and I think this card is reflective of that as we see some super competitive and high level fields. I have run through the card and picked out my best betting spots on it and I do think there are some particularly good spots. Follow me below as I outline the days racing at Warwick Farm!

Warwick Farm R3 - Precise Air Mdn Plate (1200m)

Selections:
#3 - Need Some Luck (BEST BET)  - $2.80
#7 - Kundalini - $2.60
#6 - Stand Aside - $12.20
#2 - Keenan - $6.25

BEST BET - #3 - Need Some Luck (BEST BET)
I assume that the Snowden’s have Need Some Luck rearing to go here. He’s coming back to racing off of a 17 week spell and looks well placed in the feature Maiden of the day for $100k prize money. He’s had two runs to kick off his career and has placed second in both of them and now comes into this off of a very smart Randwick trial win the other week where he went like an absolute jet and won the trial there.

THE DANGER - #7 - Kundalini
Kundalini looks like he’s going to be a tough horse to beat in this field and I think shapes up very well here for Maher and Eustace. He came off of a long 30 week spell as an odds on favourite at Canterbury Park over the 1100m a few weeks ago where he set third and two wide and found the front at the 130m and was only run  down in the final 50m. He gets Collett on here and maps well.

VALUE BET  - #6 - Stand Aside
Stand Aside looks like as honest a chance as any off the back of a bunch of trials after not having raced since the beginning of June. He had only had the two runs then but they were both sharp runs where he ran into the placings and now has had three trials to ready him for the return. He looks to be moving very nicely and gets a key booking of Hyeronimus, rates well at big odds.

Warwick Farm R5 - James Squire (Bm78) (1600m)

Selections:
#6 - Spaltet (NEXT BEST) - $6.50
#10 - Yasuke - $3.60
#4 - Highlights - $9.00
#8 - Cinque Torri - $7.50

BEST BET - #6 - Spaltet (NEXT BEST)
Bjorn Baker trained Spaltet is a serious horse and I think that he comes into this in prime form after three runs back from a spell where he really clicked up in his last two after putting the writing on the wall two back he stepped out at at this track and trip a couple weeks back where he jumped awkwardly and raced a bit greenly through the middle stages of the race but still powered home when taking over at the 230m and kept going. He will be fitter, sharper and I expect if they ride him further forward it will get rid of some of that greenness.

THE DANGER - #10 - Yasuke
Yasuke has been somewhat disappointed in his two runs back from a spell but should be getting near fit enough to win this and strikes a winnable race here. He gets the booking of Jmac here which will also carry him a long way for this assignment. He didn’t get too much luck over the 1400m here last time out when bumping into another runner and managing to recover well where he ran decently just behind the placegetters.

VALUE BET  - #4 - Highlights
Bjorn Baker sends forth another promising looking runner in this race in Highlights who gets Rachel King booked for the ride. He’s had two runs back from a spell when resuming over the 1500m at Rosehill where he didn’t do much before taking a three week break and stepping back out at Randwick over this distance where he sat behind the leaders and came on strongly to finish runner up and now looks set to peak here at a good price.

Warwick Farm R7 - Ole Kirk @ Vinery Stud (Bm72) (1200m)

Selections:
#1 - Lavish Empire - $5.25
#4 - Silentsar - $6.25
#3 - Shipshape (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $10.00
#12 - Thunderlips - $8.00

BEST BET - #1 - Lavish Empire
Lavish Empire is a Snowden trained horse after coming here from Mark Newnham and has to be given another look here. He ran a very good second over this trip at Kensington when resuming before stepping out in Saturday grade at Rosehill over the 1100m where he couldn’t really get a spot to come on and was forced to stay back from the wide gate but also pulled up with a couple issues. Worth another look third up here.

THE DANGER - #4 - Silentsar
Big fan of the Ryan and Alexiou Silentsar who won first up off a break of 21 weeks before having six weeks off from racing and not really appreciating that break when stepping back out at Kensington over this distance. He was then turned around a lot quicker for the next start at Rosehill where he ran a great placing behind a progressive looking type in Felix Majestic. He looks well placed in a softer field now with hard fitness.

VALUE BET - #3 - Shipshape (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Shipshape looks to make big improvements here for Godolphin only second up here. He resumed from a 17 week spell at Rosehill in a strong 1200m race, the same one as the aforementioned Silentsar when he wasn’t really able to fully get into it, being crowded out at the 600m and becoming unbalanced but he will be fitter now, sharper and ready to hit hard here.

Best Promotions for Warwick Farm Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
