Wednesday Racing Tips - Warwick Farm Racecourse 31/05/23

Midweek metro racing kicks on at Warwick Farm this Wednesday for another week of exciting racing and as usual there are some top NSW stables putting forward some progressive horses as well as some prominent outer state stables putting forward debutants and good looking horses. As usual, all races will be contested for a share of $40k prize money, the rail is in true position and the track is rated a good 4. Follow me below as I outline my best bets of the day!

Warwick Farm R3 - Palace Pier @ Darley Mdn Hcp (1200m)

Selections:
#10 - No More Lies (NEXT BEST)- $3.70
#4 - Outsider - $4.20
#7 - Starry Jack - $10.00
#2 - Tamaroa - $4.40

BEST BET - #10 - No More Lies (NEXT BEST)
No More Lies looks like a very progressive horse for the Snowden’s and I am keen on his prospects on this field. The Two year old made his debut a fortnight ago here over the 1100m after a handful of reall good lead up trials and he was far from disgraced here when sitting behind the speed and starting a powerful run on the turn to join the leaders, just running into one better than him in the fitter / further in prep Fleetwood when second there. Now is fitter, better for the run and with Bayliss on board they look a good shot in this field.

THE DANGER - #4 - Outsider
Outsider looks very well placed for Chris Waller here on resumption after having just the three runs in his debut prep in the Summer this year. He placed in all three of them and came very close in all of them, just finding some smart types on his way in Call-Di and Cut On A Dime. The tick over trial at Randwick was a nice piece of work where he looked to come on strong at the end and off the back of that he should be ready to fire first up here.

VALUE BET  - #7 - Starry Jack
Starry Jack is an interesting one for the Conners stable who comes into this on a quick back up after a handful of runs this prep and has looked to make very sharp improvements in his last couple of runs. The most recent of which came just a few days ago at Kembla where he stuck gamely to his task in defeat, chasing hard on the speed all run to just tire late. The quick back up signals intent, he’s fit and should run well here under Schiller.

Warwick Farm R4 - Headwater @ Vinery Stud (Bm72) (1400m)

Selections:
#7 - Anagain (BEST BET)  - $2.70
#1 - Pretty Wild - $6.50
#5 - Ringarosa - $12.00
#12 - Leandra - $8.50

BEST BET - #7 - Anagain (BEST BET)
Anagain looks very well suited to pick up her second career win for Joseph Pride off the back of two hot runs in town. He resumed in the Heavy at Rosehill over the 1200m and sat behind the leaders to keep chasing and ended up third there. He then took a short three week break before coming back to the same track / distance on a softer track and running as honestly as ever, powering home into third behind Miss Hellfire. Drops back sharply in competition now and should be hard fit third up.

THE DANGER - #1 - Pretty Wild
Pretty Wild should be competitive after the claim from Reece Jones. The Chris Waller trained four year old is having his third run back from a spell and should be hard fit now. He resumed in the Heavy at Rosehill but failed to handle the ground and only passed the stragglers. He then stayed at the track / trip next run out and never really got his chance to come on in the Anagain race. I think third up now, with Reece on and in a softer field he can finish on top.

VALUE BET  - #5 - Ringarosa
Ringarosa can hit back hard here for Gary Portelli third up off the back of a dominant resumption display at Newcastle where jumped awkwardly and set two back in the run before easing off heels at the 200m, shifting out and starting a big run where he powered away to score dominantly. He couldn’t back it up last time out at Warwick Farm but was too far back and despite coming on strongly late he wasn’t seen in the finish. Finds a small field and maps to not give them too much of a head start. Top chance at the odds.

Warwick Farm R6 - Proven Thoroughbreds (Bm72) (1600m)

Selections:
#5 - Touristic - $3.60
#3 - Anythink Goes - $7.00
#1 - Imrahor - $7.00
#14 - Kouklara (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY) - $17.00

BEST BET - #5 - Touristic
The Snowden’s trained Touristic looks like a good thing coming into this second up off the back of a long spell where he resumed at Kensington a couple weeks ago over the 1400m. He set wide and deep there, running behind the speed with no cover but angled out on the turn and came home very strongly to just miss and end up second there. Has big upside off the back of that and gets out the mile now, should be hard to beat.

THE DANGER - #3 - Anythink Goes
I think the Matt Smith trained four-year-old Anythink Goes is a good thing coming along off the back of the win he picked up last time out at this track. He’s been up around the mark awhile this prep but just keeps running well and last time over the Mile here he trucked along on the speed, sitting on the leaders heels before taking over and proving too strong for them. He looks to really have put it all together now and if he can hold form here will be very competitive.

VALUE BET - #14 - Kouklara (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Kouklara is one of the more interesting runners in this race. The Joseph Pride trained five year old comes into this third up and ready to fire. He resumed in the Heavy at Rosehill and showed his class, despite notn enjoying the going he passed through about half the field there before coming here, settling last and powering home on the turn to pass by half the field again. Comes into this hard fit now, better for the runs and maps to settle a lot closer in the run. A win wouldn’t totally shock.

Best Promotions for Warwick Farm Racecourse

Promotions are traditionally the primary way for punters to create an edge over the bookies, as they can save your cash when your runner fails to win, in the instance of Unibet they often offer 2nd and 3rd money back in bonus bets for a selection of races on the midweek and Provincial racing days. Coupled with their generous odds I have to put them as the top bookie promotion wise at the moment for Australian racing.

If you are looking for the best promotions this week for Wednesday's racing I wouldn’t look past Unibet, often they offer odds boosts in addition to the money back promotions. Don’t forget to check your account as well for personal offers.

Promotions often change so make sure you sign up at unibet.com.au to see what promotions are applicable to you and you may even be surprised to find some promotions that weren’t mentioned here!
