Hard to Knock Red Cobra here who gets in with a big claim for Roper to come into this at just 54.5kg and is hard fit after having just broken maiden win last time out so as long as there’s steam in the tank he should be prominent here. He clocked a bunch of close placings before stepping out here a couple weeks back and chasing hard from out wide to win well in the concluding stages of the run. Well placed again.
THE DANGER - #1 - Avonview
Avonview is an honest danger for Anthony Cummings and comes into this in form and ready to fire again. He came back from Kensington to Gosford last time out when stepping out to this distance and shifting out from the fence on the speed to out wide in the straight where he powered home to win well. Goes up in weight but gets Collett on and this field isn’t overly strong as a whole.
VALUE BET - #5 - Sweet Dixie
Sweet Dixie has only had the two runs to kick off the career and looks to have really gotten going last time out when racing over this distance at Kembla and beating what seems like quite a solid field. He set fourth and two wide in the run before shifting out in the straight and powering home to win well. He looked to have relished that step up in trip and I think there’s real intent here. Go close.

Chilli Filly has had just the one run for Kris Lees back in September but won very well on debut when driving through along the rails to lead and then powering away from the field for a dominant win. She’s been sent back to the yard since then and now comes back with Gibbons aboard off a very nice trial placing. I think she takes this out.
THE DANGER - #x - Name
Flying Rani has the runs on board and has barely put a foot wrong in her two start career. She put the writing on the wall with a very good debut runner up placing before stepping out over this trip at Gosford last time out and overcoming a wide run to jet home and win well. Hard fit now, Lloyd on, can easily win again.
VALUE BET - #4 - Maz Kanata
If any horse is going to roll the joint favourites here it’s the Coyle stable’s Maz Kanata who has been flying in the trials for his return to racing. He’s had just the one run to kick the career off back at Nowra in August where he stayed inside and drove through the rails to take over and win well, drawing clear of them at the 100m. There’s been a few winners out that race and I like the look of his trial win and runner up placing. Should be sharp here.

Misty Legend returns to racing here off of a decent break and was going very well last preparation before going for the break when winning one and placing runner up in two. I really like the way she’s been trialling for her return and think she strikes a winnable race first up. Her Randwick trial win last time out was very sharp.
THE DANGER - #5 - Soobooco
Soobooco looks like a well placed horse for the Minnervini stable and I think at her best or even something near her best she can take this out. She is a bit of a milk drinker and has only won one of nine runs but has placed runner up in five of them. She has had two runs back now and looked very good first up before bombing out last start. Well placed to hit back now.
VALUE BET - #1 - Outreach To Henry (ROUGHIE OF THE DAY)
Outreach to Henry has come up as a big price here and I think it’s crazy given the only reason to doubt him would be whether he still has petrol in the tank fourth up here. He ran a close third placing in a Randwick highway behind Emperor before stepping out in a BM85 at Taree last time out and winning well.
