Racing comes back to some familiar tracks with Scone Racecourse and Geelong Racecourse having lined up some very nice looking cards and I have extensively run through the cards in my free horse racing tips articles that you can find on the website as we look to hit hard here before going onto Saturday’s racing. Our best bets tips article didn’t go to well with our best of the day being swamped on the line to finish runner up and as for our roughie of the day, the short price Waterhouse/Bott favourite from the race thrashed the field there. As for below I have picked out my top pick across both tracks for the day in addition to a best outside chance across the two race cards. I have also gone across the Aussie betting sites / betting apps and highlighted where you can get the best odds for these picks. The monstrous Messara / Bullock combination is represented by Martedi in this race who, on ratings alone, looks like she should be far too strong for these albeit the danger from a few lightly raced horses that should have upside here but so does she. She has won or placed in her three starts to date and last time out she sat outside the leader and took over at the 200m to just find one better very late who came on flying from the tail of the field and looked a smart type. His run style looks suited to the step up in distance and it’s going to take a very good thing to beat him.

I am not backing her with too much confidence but I am keen to have something on the Price and Kent trained Strangeless who is definitely over the odds here. She looks to be in for a decent debut prep for the stable after just the one run for Kurt Goldman that saw her win on debut in the Heavy. She has had two runs back for the new camp and looks to have improved sharply in her last run when doing it tough from wide early and working well in the run before being eased out of it late to finish fourth. She should be much fitter from that, better for her two runs back at the races and with Gaudray on they can find the front and give a sight from there.
