Verdad came 2nd last start at Caulfield with Jye McNeil in the saddle. Previously, 2nd of 15 at Sandown-Hillside BM84 on September 28, 2024 over 1400m. I think he is due for a win and this could be the race. He has finished second at this track in 3 of 4 career starts. Also, usually likes running on good tracks and Moonee Valley should be suitable on Friday night.

Our Boy Ollie resumes on Friday and has been good before when he is fresh. Should run well from this draw and will get a 2kg advantage. I think this is a pretty open race and he has placed before on this track.

It was another epic week of racing last week with some big upsets in the Group 1 races on Saturday. The highlights were Duke De Sessa took out the Caulfield Cup on the weekend and Bella Nipotina won a nail-biter in The Everest. This Saturday is Cox Plate day at Moonee Valley Racecourse and Prognosis is the current favourite.
