Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 07/08/23

Racing comes back to some familiar faces this Sunday with bumper eight race cards set for Sandown Lakeside racecourse and Sunshine Coast racecourse off the back of the Group 1 races season unofficially starting this past Saturday with future Everest prospect I Am Me getting the money in an awesome listed race. We got unlucky with our Saturday Tips as it was overall a very tricky day which does tend to happen as the competition level ramps up in anticipation of Spring Carnival racing but I am keen to hit back hard and have picked out a best bet and roughie of the day for this Sunday across the two aforementioned tracks and then highlighted where you can get the best odds for these picks across the horse racing betting sites. There should be a couple promotions going around across our betting apps this Saturday to give us an edge on the bookies and I have outlined those and highlighted them below the tips. I think we are on for a big Sunday of racing and am looking forward to it!

Racing returns to Goulburn racecourse and the Ballarat synthetic racecourse for a solid Monday of meetings as we aim to kick off the week in a big way with Spring Carnival racing around the corner and I have found a few betting spots I am particularly keen on across both the race cards. We got unlucky in our Saturday Tips this past weekend as it was a tricky day overall and we got so close to picking up an $8.00 winner in our best bets tips this Sunday but he found one better right on the line. I am keen to hit back hard and have picked out a best bet and roughie of the day for this Monday across the two aforementioned tracks and then highlighted where you can get the best odds for these picks across the Aussie betting sites / betting apps. Khangai is going to look tough to beat in this field for Mick Kent having just his third career start for the stable and looks to be astutely placed in this field. He’s had two career starts for the stable and has been progressing along very nicely. He debuted at this track over the 2200m where he looked to move nicely through his gears and found a decent kick at the top of the straight but his condition told where he faded aggressively. He went out next time at the same track / trip where he jumped badly and had to sit wide when circling the field from the 1700m to 900m and got himself into a spot out wide to fight hard to the line and overcome a very tough run. That reads amazingly fitness wise for his next assignment. More than ready for this trip now and keen on him in this field from barrier two where he should get every chance.

Chaotic Beauty looks very well placed to make it two from two for Dannielle Seib and whilst she took a few runs to get going she did put the writing on the wall before running at this track / trip where he set back in the field and shifted out widest under Holly Durnan on the corner and let down with a huge run to get there in the last stride for a very impressive win where he clocked some of the best late splits of the meeting. He’s got that winning feeling now and is hard fit, gets in at just 56kg with the big claim from Durnan who retains the ride and knows the horse and I imagine she will be sitting just off the pace and be launching at them late!
