Racing returns to our usual Monday suspects with cards set for Moruya racecourse and Tamworth racecourse and we come off the back of a pretty solid day in horse racing betting with some of our tips across the three Saturday tracks going very well. Best Tip: Tamworth - R4 - #4 - Ishani

It’s most likely time that Ishani sheds the maiden tag here at start number six after coming across to Brett Cavanaough and resuming off a very long year break from racing and he resumed very well given it was such a long break. He stepped out over the 1000m at Gosford at the end of last month when where he was crowded for a run along the fence but when he did get clear air he ran home very well.

Best Roughie: Moruya - R7 - #1 - Kokoro

Kokoro is a lethal horse on his day and rates as one of the highest in this field for John O’Shea and I think he can resume in a big way here. He draws a good gate, gets Atkins aboard and whilst he has to take on top weight here I am not convinced that will be enough to slow him down. He has won two from five first up so it’s no secret he goes well first up and now comes here off of a sharp Randwick trial where he seemingly was moving very nicely behind a smart horse in Misty Legend. I think he rates highly here and is a definite winning chance.

Stats and Insights

Tamworth Racecourse is a very circular track and as such it is very important to find the fence as you will continue to lose lengths as each distance features at least two turns on the course.

Cody Morgan is the top trainer at Tamworth Racecourse with a 20% strike rate at the course, he has seven runners tomorrow at the track so watch for them.

Often, at 1400m - 1600m at Moruya racecourse winners predominantly emerge from barriers 5-8 which suggests those horses who either fire straight onto the speed or those that sit just behind the speed have the greatest chances.
