Racing kicks off this week at Mornington Racecourse and Warwick Farm Racecourse amidst a bunch of other top tracks and we have a very exciting day of public holiday racing, with some black type racing amongst the day. I have gone through all the racing that is set for Monday and outlined my best betting spots across the whole day. Devil’s Delight looks like he is going to be very hard to beat here in the opener for an awesome Public holiday Mornington race card. I think we should see an upgrade of the track conditions and in this Two Year old contest we should see Spain roll forward on Devil’s Delight from the inside draw. I like this as he did the same from a wide gate last time out Pakenham when he saluted by a strong margin. The Runner up went on to win the Elvstroem Classic last Friday so the form has been franked and I only see him going well here second up.

Bat out of Hell looks like a good thing going around for the Maher and Eustace camp and I think he is one of the leading contenders in this reasonably soft field. This horse changed camps from the Portelli stable at the beginning of the year and came back from a seventeen week spell at Canterbury where he was very good after bumping into traffic, still coming on strongly to find the line until the end of the race. He subsequently ran at Canterbury Park where he came off heels from near last and charged hard late to fall into the placings. I think he will only be harder to beat third up now and will go close.
