Bangetta looks to make his resuming run a winning one for Kris Lees and I think he looks very well placed in this field to do so. He hasn’t been seen at the races since early June when stepping out at Eagle Farm in The Oxlade Stakes where he looked to be starting a good run on the turn but hampered at the 100m and was subsequently eased out of the race. He’s had a stack of very nice trials to lead him back into racing here and the last saw him step out here where he trucked along nicely before finding the line very well when second and I think  he’s been placed with intent here. Gibbons booked for the ride is positive and I am keen to see how he goes when he next steps out.

The Talking Toff maps to be a lot closer in the run for the Gaskin stable this time around and I think that will be the key to him being able to get the win here. His last few runs have come at this distance and he now comes into this hard fit and ready to go over. When he last stepped out at Echuca over this distance he had to do things tough out wide and still find plenty to work home very strongly when placing third behind some smart horses. He now draws barrier three and maps to get every chance in the run and I think he only runs well here.
