Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 18/05/24

I have highlighted my best bet of the day and best outside chance of the day as well as some insights for race day across all racecourses for Saturday. Follow along with me for the best free horse racing tips on race day! At Scone on Saturday, it's a big day as they celebrate the Scone Cup Racing Carnival with a 10 race card. Racing also returns to Flemington with a 10 race card as well. The track is looking good at the moment with a Soft 5 rating. Let's get into it!

Spring Lee had a fantastic return to racing and I think it's worth getting excited about her chances on Saturday arvo. With King as her jockey, they've had a strong partnership, winning two out of three races and placing second in the other. In her most recent race at Canterbury, she started from a tough position in barrier 12 but showed incredible determination. She came from the back of the field, rounded up her rivals and dug deep to fend off Jewellery for an impressive win.

Looking ahead to Saturday, Race 6 seems less competitive, giving her a good chance to shine again. Spring Lee has a great 2nd -up record too, which bodes well for her next run. She's expected to settle in a midfield position, where she can conserve energy and make a strong push towards the end. With her impressive form and the favourable conditions, she's definitely one to keep an eye on.

Rich Lover had a nice first up run, managing to cover extra ground and still outclass the competition in a similar grade. Now even fitter, he's shown he can handle straight-course racing well. When he resumed, he stayed just off the pace but proved too good in the end. With Ethan Brown as his jockey, Rich Lover has won two out of three career starts so I like the combo. He recently won at Cranbourne and placed third at this track last year. Additionally, he loves this distance, with a record of one win and two seconds in three starts. Given his excellent form and the favourable race conditions, Rich Lover looks poised for another strong performance on Saturday at Flemington.
