Best Tip: I Am Artie #6 Doomben R10

With James Orman on board last start, won at Doomben (1200m). So hopefully that form continues into Saturday's race. On Saturday, Kyle Wilson-Taylor is in the saddle and knows how to win. Get on board. Before that, I Am Artie finished first at Eagle Farm in a BM70 on September 14, 2024, over 1200m. Loves this track as it has yet to finish outside the top 3. Likes running on soft tracks and tomorrow's track should be nice. In winning form, don't look past it.

Best Roughie: Amor Victorious #6 Randwick R9

In its last race on September 28 at Rosehill, he surged to the front, winning by 0.5 lengths. He carried 53kg and managed to beat Punch Lane (54kg), which was quite impressive, especially at $8.50 odds. So, it's definitely in top form right now. Before that, Amor Victorious finished first at Rosehill in a BM100 on August 31, 2024, over 1500m. Very good record at the track, watch out for it on Saturday. Good stats at the distance too, bodes well for Saturday. Racing well at the moment, so I like its chances.

Stats and Insights

Over the shorter trips at Doomben (up until about the 1350m) outside barriers are significantly disadvantaged. Look for horses that draw inside or have lots of early speed and stay away from those that are backmarkers.
Randwick is a very wide track with a good run-in that makes it one of the fairest tracks around. It’s hard to say backmarkers are advantaged, but they are the closest thing to advantaged at Randwick Racecourse.
The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.
