On Saturday, the racing continues with some expected quality races at Sandown and Rosehill. I'm heading to Sandown for my best bet of the day in Race 5. Also, for my roughie bet, I've got my eye on Tanglewood in Race 10 at Rosehill. The Sandown track is looking decent for race day on Saturday, it's a soft 6 rating at this stage. At Rosehill the track is rated a heavy 8 at this stage so look for runners that like to run in wet conditions. Let's get into the Saturday horse racing tips!

Best Tip: Gallant Son #8 Sandown R5
Resuming on Saturday. Has a positive first-up record in its career. I like the look of Gallant Son in Race 5 at Sandown on Saturday. Previously won at Sale over 1100m, carrying 58kg. That was a really good win, so I think Gallant Son should be tough to beat on Saturday too. The soft track should pose no problems and won a Pakenham jumpout recently. Good odds to get the win.

Best Roughie: Tanglewood #17 Rosehill R10
Last time out, it had a perfect run and won, looking much fitter. This horse knows how to bring the heat and last time out at Randwick-Kensington, it showed us exactly what he's made of. With Joshua Parr in the saddle, it's a force to be reckoned with and could very well take the win again. Before that, Tanglewood finished first at Randwick in a Cls 3 on July 6, 2024 over 1200m. Very good record at the track, watch out for it on Saturday. Also loves heavy tracks and the Rosehill track conditions should be perfect for it on Saturday. Parr has enjoyed riding this one with 2 wins in 4 starts and hasn’t fallen out of the top 2.

Stats and Insights
- Rosehill Race 10 - Tanglewood has a 70% career place rate in his racing career.
- It has been noted by stewards and sharp punters recently that being on pace and close to the rail has been the best place/places to be at Rosehill in recent times, a track that is known to change every couple months in terms of bias so take good note of that.
- The first 3-4 races in most meetings are called "Maidens" and these races are usually risky and unpredictable. This is because the runners are usually making their debut or have only had a few starts. So it's advisable to stay from these races unless you have a good bankroll.

It’s another huge week of racing around Australia with Group 1 races on the agenda. On Friday night at Mooney Valley, the Manikato Stakes is the headline race with up to $2,000,000 in prize money up for grabs. I Wish I Win and Hayasugi are the top favourites at the moment. Then on Saturday, we have the Golden Rose Stakes at Rosehill Racecourse over 1400m.
To enjoy the racing action even more, horse racing promotions are one of the best ways to take advantage of boosted odds and money back offers. This week, I'm a big fan of the promos that Elitebet has added for racing punters. On Saturday, if your runner finishes 2nd or 3rd at any race in New South Wales and Victoria, you’ll get money back up to $50. They also offer this throughout the week at any meeting in Australia.
