Huge Group 1 races return to Randwick racecourse this Saturday for Epsom stakes day and there are two great support cards of racing at Eagle Farm racecourse and Mornington racecourse. I have been waiting to see where the giant Gai / Bott stable places a really confident runner on this race day and I have found it in Just Fine. This UK import hasn’t lost a race in his two outings since coming onto Aussie shores and his last win in the Kingston Town was very impressive where he sat on the speed all run and was there to be beaten but just had too much for them. He’s short, but it’s justified.

Maurice’s Medad, if he can overcome the bad gate, should towel these. He has come over to Barry Lockwood who is notorious for giving tried horses a new lease on life and that looks to be the case off the back of his debut for the stable a fortnight ago where he came on very strongly late and just missed out to Dark Harmony. He’ll be a lot fitter now and get out to his striking distance, I think he is a genuine winning chance.
