Dutchy’s Angel looks like she has a bit of class about her and has been racing in very good order for the Dwyer stable who are obviously prominent up North and she gets an honest chance to make it two wins from ten starts off the back of a nice fourth placing at Gatton over the 860m last time out where set third along the rail and held ground well but was outkicked in the straight. He loves this track with a win and a game second placing in two runs and while both those wins have been sprints I think the stable rarely places their runners with thought and she is the one to beat here.

Talons should be at just about peak here, third up for the Howlett stable. He returned from a long forty two week spell at Muswellbrook where he began awkwardly setting 6th 3WNC when he was Inconvenienced again and carried wider at the 400m, finishing second and finding a smart one. He then got trapped four wide no cover last time out at Scone where he stayed tough out wide from the corner and was brave as they come there. He’s due for a change of luck now and will be hard fit, if he gets clear air he wins this.
