Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 13/08/23

Racing comes back to a provincial level this Sunday with bumper eight race cards set for the Sunshine Coast racecourse and Dubbo racecourse and I am keen to finish off the week in a big way off the back of a pretty tricky Saturday with our Saturday tips being quite luckless but our best bet in the best bets tip got up and all three exotics tips went over for the wins which was a very nice saver for the day. Regardless, I am keen to pick up more winners this Sunday and have picked out my best overall bet of the day and best outside chance of the day and highlighted their prospects in this article as well as where you can pick up the highest odds across the Aussie horse racing betting sites / betting apps. I think that whilst Annabel Neasham has a very nicely placed runner in this race that the King trained Highbar’s debut win was no fluke and that he has a high class animal on his hands. He debuted for the stable under the Dutchman Du Plessis at this track over the 1000m where he led and controlled the race and only got clicked up in the last 350m where he let down through his gears and powered away for a very soft win. He didn’t beat all that much there but the way in which he did was ever so impressive. The figures then backed that out where he clocked some of the best overall late splits of the day, all after leading… He looks well suited stepping out to the 1200m now and staying at the course with plenty to offer second up and Mark retaining the ride.

The percentage meets a very beatable field here for the Hazelton stable and rates as one of the highest differentials on rating to second in any of the fields set for Dubbo. He had a total forgive run last time out at Gilgandra where he was forced out wide and held up for a run in the straight and subsequently eased out of it. Prior to then he has been putting up ever so close placings and running some nice splits. He now gets the blinkers on and draws barrier one as well as coming back 100m in distance being suited to his run style and I think he is a top chance in this field.
