It’s been a bit of a trend recently with the O’Dea and Hoystead camp to send out runners who are either on debut or very lightly raced at these Sunday Sunshine Coast meetings and the majority of them have been going very well. This guy comes here after having just the one run at Doomben mid last year where he ran well without being a winning threat and now comes back to racing off the back of a couple trials, with the latest being a sharp trial win at Daegon and I think he shapes up very well for this assignment now. Boulanger is a smart horse for the Chujo camp who took his time to break the maiden tag but now that he has he can certainly go on with it. He resumed off of a 19 week break last time out at Murwillumbah over the 1200m where he found the rail, the lead and just kept going for an awesome all the way win. I think he shapes up very well off the back of that, more improvement to come and out to 1300m looks the natural step up in trip.
