Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 16/07/23

Racing comes back to some familiar Sunday tracks with Sunshine Coast racecourse and Grafton racecourse playing hosts to nice short cards with eight and seven races respectively. We had a great day with our free horse racing tips this Saturday with a bunch of our bets saluting across the three race cards in what was an otherwise tricky day. I have run through both of the cards tomorrow and picked out a best bet and best outside chance in an effort for us to grab some late winners for the week as we approach another big week of racing. I have also gone across the Aussie betting sites / betting apps and highlighted where you can get the best odds for these picks. Below the tips you will find a small section on the best promotions going around across the betting apps for this Saturday as Saturday’s are the biggest day for promotions each week it is a useful edge to have over the bookies. 

I think that the Jack Bruce trained Kozani is going to be tough to beat here in this maiden race over the 1000m. He’s had just the five runs for the stable dating back to March and has been placed in strong company in three of them. Last time out he had a good change of speed and did everything right but just found one better in what looks like a smart horse. Orman retains the ride, they map to find the front easily from the low draw and I think he wins this and is onto bigger things.

Jimmy The Tulip looks well placed here for the step up to this big distance in the 3120m. He’s picked up a win four back at Ipswich over the 2200m and has had a few runs since when trying different tactics but stepped out to the 2450m last time and seemed to put it all together when making great ground late, running a fast time and reeled all in bar the leader. He’s been given a month break for this which seems to be the key to him as he had a similar setup before his last run out and I think he should settle just behind a decent tempo and have plenty for them late. Go close.
