Racing kicks on this Sunday off a riveting closing day to Black Type Racing at Eagle Farm racecourse, supported by Randwick and Caulfield racecourses. It’ll be pretty tough to back up the exciting Group 1 races from the weekend but we have some decent looking betting spots at Werribee Racecourse and Rockhampton Racecourse. Face the Jury is having just her second start for the stable since switching to Gaving Bedggood and came off a very long eighty-three week spell two and a half weeks ago at this course over the 1000m in the same muddy conditions which we get tomorrow and she was awesome there, looking to have returned in very good order. She set fifth on the rail and chased hard all run, clocking some good splits and just not being able to get one over a very game winner with a big gap back to third. She overraced a touch there early and will be much better for the run, heaps of upside, clearly handles the ground and I think she only runs well tomorrow.

Native Bee looks to be over the odds in this field for Damien Rideout and she has been up around for some time but made big improvements last time out and clocked some of the fastest splits of the day at Gayndah when finishing just behind the placegetters, overcoming a tough wide run to do so. He drops 2kg in weight, doesn’t meet much tougher opposition here and will have plenty of options from the low draw in a small field. If he can sit somewhere just behind the speed he will be the strongest late.
