Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 30/07/23

Racing returns to some usual Sunday suspects with solid eight race meetings at both Geelong racecourse and Sunshine Coast racecourse and we come off the back of a bit of an all over the place day of racing this Saturday with my Saturday tips going okay and our best bet from the best bets tips article saluting at $2.70 across the Aussie betting sites which really saved the day. I am hoping to get the ball rolling again for what looks like a solid week of racing this coming week and I think that I have found two particularly good spots for race day tomorrow and have outlined a best bet and best outside chance of the day below. Distorted Mission is the second line of betting in this race and looks astutely placed for Simon Zahra in this field. He’s resuming off of a 21 week spell and having just his third preparation at the races off the back of a very successful Summer prep that saw him finish in the placings in three consecutive runs before breaking through for a good maiden win and then producing an end of prep run before being sent for a spell. His late splits are the best, on average, in this field by a bit and I think he has a class edge on most of these. The booking of Mott signals intent, decent gate, not too much depth and he can take this out.

Stuart Kendrick sends an early assault to the Sunshine Coast tomorrow in the maiden races and he is clearly looking to pick up some soft ratings boost wins on some of these runners and Superare fits the profile the best of them IMO. He was three weeks between runs when racing over the 1050m at Rockhampton last time out when setting two wide in the run and hitting the line hard in the last 200m where he had a kick but faded late due to the tough wide run and was unable to get past the all the way winner when holding second place. He gets in well weighted for this at just 56.5kg and from barrier two Harley should have plenty of options where to settle in the run and his splits read very well for this. His late splits are some of the best in the field and I think he presents as definite overs in this field
