Love this horse for Joe Pride and I am excited to see him step out here after having two runs to kick off his tenure with Pride. The first of which was a smart win at this course where he beat the likes of Flying Rani before going out at Warwick Farm last time out and really looking like he would have won if not for taking a big hit from another runner that should have seen him well out of the race but he’s so honest that he just found enough to recover and chased hard to finish second. Hard fit third up, appears to be flying under Pride and should win this with even luck.

Really not sure why the market is so aggressively overlooking Francine for Aaron Purcell here. There’s a short price favourite in this race which has obviously impacted a few of the runners but regardless Francine comes into this with a 69 rating after last having stepped out at Dunkeld where he lumped 62kg and still boxed on well to finish third and ran solid time. He now gets a massive 4kg claim to offset the top weight here and draws for a decent trail in. I think he’s massive overs.
