I think the best bet on the entire Caulfield card comes early and whilst Unconquerable is short at even odds I think that she just wins this. She steps out un-trialled for the Price / Kent stable but her Cranbourne Jumpout’s have all been very sharp and she’s won each of them. She gets the perfect gate for a front running style and I think she just wins this with Lane aboard and light at the weights.

Gold Pattern looks to be going so well for the Thompson camp and I am very keen to have something on him here. He resumed off of a 21 week spell at this course when powering home from not the most economical of runs behind a smart winner in West Of Dalby who had the gun run and after putting the writing on the wall there he then stepped out at Newcastle last start and came across heels strongly to salute well in the last 200m. He looked a lot stronger than that grade and I thought we would be seeing him in a midweek meeting, given that and the fact that he’s hard fit third up I think he likely takes this out and has come up at a good price.
