Best Bets of the Day

Racing kicks on at some familiar tracks this Thursday with an eight race card set for Kembla Grange racecourse and a massive ten race card set for Apiam Bendigo racecourse and there looks to be a lot of competitive fields, within these competitive fields I think there are some very nice spots and I am keen to pick up some early value like we did without Wednesday racing tips. Our Wednesday racing tips went well with both our best bets for each track getting up at $4.00 and $7.50 respectively across the aussie betting sites. I am keen to keep the momentum going and have picked out, as usual, another best bet and best outside chance of the day across both the racecourses. I’ve ensured we get the best value possible by going around on the Aussie betting sites and finding where you can get the best odds across our betting apps for these selections which are attached to the tips. Below the tips you will also find a small section on the best promotions going around across the Aussie betting sites. Follow me below for another solid Thursday of racing as we look to get some winners!

Best Tip: Apiam Bendigo - R7 - #2 - Enzed Magic

Enzed Magic is a well bred four year old gelding who looks very well placed to remain undefeated in this field and while the opening market hasn’t established a clear favourite in running I think that is a great opportunity to grab a bit of value on this runner. He was picked up by Erin Maher last year and had a bit of work done under him before being sold to Michael Kent earlier this year, who has been putting in some outstanding training efforts this season. Enzed took a bit of time to make his way to the races but once he did debut at the end of May it was a brilliant display when he found the rail to lead and looked dead at the 150m but showed an impressive changing of gears from seemingly nowhere to burst through the line and win well. He ran a decent bit of time for the day that day at Cranbourne and he now steps out 400m off that effort which looks like the natural step up from there. I think he’s the class of the field and am quite keen on his chances.

BEST OF THREE TOTES

*The Best Tote bet type pays bettors the highest dividend declared by the three national totes. The VIC TAB, NSW TAB and UBet. This likely means that there aren't fixed odds available at the time of writing this on that bookmaker and there likely will be.

Best Roughie: Kembla Grange - R5 - #4 - Slickman

R & L Price send an assault of runners to Kembla Grange for tomorrow’s meeting and there are a few of theirs in this field alone. I think the pick of them is Slickman who should be hard fit coming into this third up and ready to win. He’s been clocking the fastest average last 600m splits across this race and some of the fastest times relative to the benchmark. He’s locally trained and displayed a very dynamic run style when returning to racing off an 18 week spell two back at Moruya where he weaved between runners and gave himself every chance to place second. His last effort saw him settle at the rear of the field and come on strongly in the straight from far back in the field. He will be fitter for that outing and is ready to peak here third up. Gets in super light after the claim from Chambers and will surely run well here.

Stats and Insights

  • The Bendigo Racecourse is a very spacious circuit with long straights (24m width) and well-cambered turns (6% Camber) which makes it a great course for up and in runners and also lends opportunity to backmarkers to come on strong.
  • The Bendigo Racecourse has chutes for the 1100m and 1600m that sees runners go around one full 180 degree turn and generally sees rails in runners go over the best at these distances.
  • The Snowden’s are the top trainers at Kembla Grange and send five runners to the course tomorrow who are all within the first four lines of betting and some are at nice prices so watch for those runners at the course tomorrow.

Best Racing Promotions

Promotions have historically been a great way for bettors to gain an advantage over betting sites by providing an edge to your bet. For racing specifically these promotions can be extensive in providing you some form of ‘outs’ to your bet that you wouldn’t normally receive.

Palmerbet, in recent weeks, has stood out to me across the Aussie betting sites that offer racing promotions and is one that I would take a look at, especially for big race days that feature Group 1 races and Saturday’s in general.

On our site we have a Palmerbet Review that goes in depth into the bookmaker as well as a  Vicbet and Punterspal review amongst some of the other top bookmakers that frequently have promotions.

Promotions tend to change regularly, so it is important to sign up to these betting sites to stay updated on the latest applicable promotions.
