Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 01/08/23

Racing returns to some of our familiar Tuesday tracks with bumper eight race cards at Pakenham Synthetic Racecourse and Taree Racecourse and we have been having quite a lot of success in our free horse racing tips at these courses in the past few meetings as we look to once again pick up some winners. Overall, the last few days of our horse racing tips have been very good with our Best Bets tips today seeing the roughie of the day go over to now make it three roughies of the day in four days. As usual I have picked out my best bet and best outside chance of the day as well as where you can get the best odds for these picks across the Aussie betting sites. There won’t be too many promotions going around across our betting apps this Tuesday but there should still be one or two and I have outlined those and highlighted them below the tips. It should prove to be a solid Tuesday of racing to kick the week off in a good way and I am keen to get some winners!

Quite The Lass looks set to peak here fourth up and can get one over the short priced favourite in my opinion. The D Brideoake & M Jenkins four year old has had three runs back from a long thirty three week spell and I am always looking for runners that are tried on the Synthetic which he fits the profile perfectly for and now draws barrier one with Mott on and is set to get every chance. Two runs back he thundered home over the 1500m here to place second before stepping out to this distance (1600m) last time out on the course and chasing hard behind a smart one in Seb Song to place third behind him and Dane On Tour, who also has a bit of class about him. He will be much better for the run at this trip now and Mott will have plenty of options from barrier one but I expect him to get a spot behind on speed and be strong at the end still. Keen.

I am very keen on the prospects of Herne Hill and don’t think that we will see the quote of $7.00 for very much longer across the betting sites. Herne Hill has been putting in efforts that have seen him clocking the best splits in this field, particularly his last 600m splits and I think that Andrew Gibbons is the right jockey to make sure he doesn’t get buried too far back in the run from gate one without too much early speed. He ran over the 1300m last time out at Scone when being held up at a crucial stage and still powering home into the placings. There have already been two subsequent winners from that race. He’s now hard fit, gets a big jockey upgrade, draws a good gate and the extra 100m can only aid his cause. If he is near the mark on the turn I think he surely wins.
