Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 03/10/23

Racing returns to some familiar provincial tracks with bumper seven race cards set for Goulburn racecourse and Swan Hill racecourse and I am keen to get the ball rolling hard this week as we approach another weekend of great group 1 races. I have, as usual, run through both of the cards and picked out a best bet and best outside chance of the day.  In addition to the tips I have outlined below there is a short section on the best promotions going around across the horse racing betting sites and I think it is worth checking out as it is worthwhile to try to get an edge on the bookies as best you can. Starsea has been knocking on the door and I think now gets as good a chance as any at a good price to go over here. He’s had three runs back from a spell this time in and really looks to have clicked up in his past couple with the last run being at Nowra where he was three weeks between runs. He stepped out there where he crossed and led, finding the rails and still found plenty in the straight but the horse that trailed him in managed to claim the race in the dying metres. He looks to come into this hard fit, with plenty of momentum on his side and meets a beatable field.

The Geisha I think is being overlooked in this field and a last start winner at a provincial track in a reasonably soft field is always a set up I am interested in. This Deanna Taylor product has only had the three race starts and debuted untrialled so I think that the first two were really to build confidence / race fitness before he stepped out at Hamilton over the 2200m last time out and raced two wide all trip before hitting the lead at the 500m, giving a strong kick in the straight to get a way in front of them and then being eased out near the line for a strong win in good time. He now looks very well placed for the extra 200m as well as this not being an overly strong race and I think he only runs well here at a really good price.

Horse racing betting is always further advantaged for the punter via promotions which assist punters in getting an edge over betting sites.
