Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 05/12/23

Racing comes back to some solid courses this Tuesday with cards set for Bendigo racecourse and Corowa racecourse as we look towards another solid midweek set of cards and we come off the back of an unlucky Monday in horse racing betting with our roughie of the day being scratched and our best bet coming third in a luckless affair. I have run through both of the cards I mentioned before and picked out a best bet of the day and a best outside chance of the day. Surely it’s time for Be Still The Earth to break through here for the Griffiths / De Kock stable who, if you have been following me for awhile, you’ll know how much of a fan I am. He resumed off of a 19 week break from racing when he last stepped out at Pakenham for just his third career start where he looks to have returned to racing outstandingly, losing a bit of ground in the straight but chasing very hard despite that to end up second. That was first up over the Mile so you’d think natural improvement and fitness will carry him far here.

Commands Success commands an element of respect resuming  here in what I think is a very winnable race for him. He is having just his eighth career start for the Reid stable and comes into this with no public trials but with the set up he has I think there is some real intent here. He’s raced in some tough races already in his short campaign but he’s trained here, does good work here and is two from two first up so clearly doesn’t take much to get going. Top chance.
