Best Tip: Grafton - R2 - #5 - Cool Machine

Cool Machine comes into this third up and ready to fire and is the one to beat for me. He’s had two runs back from a 22 week spell for the Dodson camp and I think now he rates highly here third up. He ran a very game second placing at Coffs Harbour first up where he looked the winner a long way before just being chased down late by one smart horse. He next stepped out at the track again where he didn’t get the easiest of runs, trapped out wide for the run but still came on strong at the end to finish midfield. He would have retained a huge fitness benefit off of that run and I think he goes well here now, the one to beat.

Best Roughie: Stony Creek - R5 - #5 - Tornado's Sister

Tornado’s Sister hasn’t put in a bad effort in two runs back from a long 28 week spell and I see no reason she would be slowing down now. She belted a nothing field first up over the 1000m at Terang when proving far too strong before stepping out at Cranbourne a couple weeks ago and running home so well to look the race winner before just being claimed late by a horse who had the gun run when less than a head separated them as she dived on the line. Third up, hard fit and with Prebble aboard who brings a nice little claim I think she can win again here.

Aaron Bullock has five bookings at Grafton tomorrow and rides the favourite or second favourite in each of them so watch closely for him

Grafton has a 400m straight with the home turn being a long sweeping turn which gives runners time to position themselves for big runs in the straight.

Stony Creek is said to be such a tough course to win at due to the ups and downs throughout the course that horses that win here can win in town so follow any sharp winners at the course tomorrow.
