The Price and Kent stable send forth a progressive looking horse in Warmonger who has only had the one start but looks set to over here off the back of that. He debuted over the 1425m at Seymour mid last month where he overrated in the first half of the race and did things a bit greenly but overcame that to join the lead and had enough to give a kick in the straight but the tough work he did early told when just fading slightly late in the piece to be overrun by the exacta there. However he shapes up very well here off the back of that, he will be race fitter and finds a beatable field here. With a good draw and top jockey on I imagine he’s going to be tough to beat here.

Rematch represents the mighty Paul Messara stable who we all know too well only goes well here. He’s had four career starts thus far and has already broken maiden and come runner up in two more of his starts. He comes off the back of a resuming run from 23 weeks away from racing at Scone over the 1100m where he was too far back in the run to be a winning threat but I do really like the way he found the line when making some late ground. He now comes into this race fitter and gets the winkers on for the first time which should sharpen him up and with the claim from Nock he gets in super light for this. I think he is over the odds here and a definite winning chance.
