My only query with Rebellious Hope is the space between runs but the stable did similar between his career debut and his second up run last time out and he did show big improvements between runs as well as the Griffiths / De Kock camp rarely placing their runners without consideration. This guy was over a month between runs when stepping out mid November at Mornington and fighting hard to the line to place third in a brave effort given he didn’t get the best of runs. He’s still learning, should be hard fit and finds a beatable field here third up.

Hot Bandit has only had a couple career starts for the Pepper camp but has run very well in both of them and doesn’t look to be slowing down now nor does this look out of his depth. He kicked his career off with a very sharp runner up placing at Muswellbrook two runs back before last stepping out at Scone and beating a smart horse in Sky Artist and did so in very fine fashion when really strong to the line. He resumes now from a 17 week break which I guess is why we get this price on him but I think he will be sharp regardless.
