Racing kicks on this Tuesday at Pakenham Synthetic Racecourse and Lismore Racecourse off the back of a frustrating day at Newcastle and Ballarat Synthetic Racecourses where we couldn’t get much on the board in what was a roughies day. She’s Contrary looks like a good thing going for Brett Cavanough and seems like she’s going to be tough to beat in this field. The four-year-old resumed off a long 32 week spell two weeks back at Murwillumbah and ran two wide up on the speed, boxing along nicely but being no match for the winner late when placing second. It was a good run and she should have plenty of upside second up now off that spell, gets a very smart massive 4kg claim from Vitler and if he can give her a half decent steer he will be in the finish. Top chance and I am keen on her prospects.

Tea Master has come up at a massive price in this race and I think that from a value point of view alone he is worth some money. He comes into this race third up and in his only preparation thus far when third up he raced a fast time over this distance and was very impressive, coming second only inside the last 50m to go down to a smart type. He raced last time out on this track which is always a positive to look for previous synthetic runners and whilst he didn’t have too much to offer late in the piece I like the way he boxed along on the speed and think he can improve sharply here with Cartwright aboard. Go close.
