Market is all over him but I do think that Sir Carter is due a win for the Hulbert camp and it likely comes now back from a necessary let up as I think he was just getting a bit tired towards the end of last year despite putting in good shifts constantly. He last ran at Ipswich where he led them to home and looked the winner a long way but just couldn’t hold on when meeting one better in the straight. There’s been a few subsequent winners from that race, he gets a good draw and overall this field doesn’t look extremely strong. Go well.

Treloar appears to have hit a bit of a purple patch for Luke Oliver and the way the stable’s runners have been going lately I don’t see any reason to jump off him now. He came on very sharply two back and really put the writing on the wall before stepping out at Cranbourne last time out where he set seventh along the rails and was held up for a long time before getting a split at the 200m and capitalising to flash home very well and win in the dying strides. He should have won by a lot more there and gets his chance to put on a show now.
