Racing comes back to some familiar faces this Tuesday with solid seven and nine race meetings at Beaumont Newcastle racecourse and Pakenham Synthetic racecourse. We are set for some solid NSW and VIC debutants and returning horses and amongst them there is some very progressive looking runners who I think will make these exciting contests. We had a great weekend in betting across the Aussie betting sites with our Saturday racing tips being profitable and then picking up another winner in our Best Bets tips on Sunday and I am keen to keep the momentum rolling into this week. Below I have picked out a best bet and best outside chance of the day as well as where you can get the best odds across the aussie betting sites / betting apps for these selections. Below the tips you will also find a small section on the best promotions going around across the Aussie betting sites. Follow me below for another good Tuesday of racing as we look to get some winners!
Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 25/07/23
Best Tip: Pakenham Synthetic - R6 - #2 - Dick Whittington
We have a high level staying contest ahead of us at Pakenham in race six with it being run in BM70 grade and I have landed on Phillip Stokes’ French import Dick Whittington who looks to be in for a cracker prep for the stable. He resumed off a 34 week spell at Pakenham on the turf course and took a couple runs to find his feet and add some fitness onto the stack but last time out he stepped onto the Synthetic third up and out to this trip where he looked to relish getting out to this distance. He sat second with no cover all trip and started a powerful run at the 200m to draw lengths clear of the field and was eased down late for a soft win. He takes a step up to this grade now from BM64 but clearly handles the track and trip, is hard fit, has that winning feeling and will surely be strong from here on out.

BEST OF THREE TOTES |
*The Best Tote bet type pays bettors the highest dividend declared by the three national totes. The VIC TAB, NSW TAB and UBet. This likely means that there aren't fixed odds available at the time of writing this on that bookmaker and there likely will be.
Best Roughie: Beaumont Newcastle - R5 - #1 - I'm On Break
I’m on Break looks well placed in this field for Melanie O'Gorman and whilst he doesn’t win out of turn I think he has an honest chance here. Little let ups between racing seem to be the key to him and last time out he came off a four week break at Tamworth over the Mile and began a bit awkwardly but recovered well to slot in and had a big kick in the straight to grab the lead, looked the winner and just found one better late when overcoming a tough run. He gets his toe back above the ground now which should suit him well and is fit enough for a step back up to this trip. He has raced decently at 2000m+ in the past but off the back of his last effort splits wise and run wise he is in hot form and with the big claim from Scorse he gets in at just 58kg for this assignment. Top chance at odds.

Stats and Insights
- Pakenham is one of the smallest tracks in the country, with only 1400m circumference and as such suited to front-runners and those horses with the ability to race handy to the pace
- Often, at 1400m - 1600m at Pakenham Synthetic winners predominantly emerge from barriers 5-8 which suggests those horses who either fire straight onto the speed or those that sit just behind the speed have the greatest chances.
- Kris Lees is the top trainer at Newcastle with a near 30% strike rate here, he has four runners at the course tomorrow, three of which are in the 1st or second line of betting and one outside chance so watch for all of them tomorrow.
- Newcastle is a spacious and flat track with a 400m straight that gives almost all barriers an equal chance to run on
Best Racing Promotions
Promotions have historically been a great way for bettors to gain an advantage over betting sites by providing an edge to your bet. For racing specifically these promotions can be extensive in providing you some form of ‘outs’ to your bet that you wouldn’t normally receive.
Palmerbet, in recent weeks, has stood out to me across the Aussie betting sites that offer racing promotions and is one that I would take a look at, especially for big race days that feature Group 1 races and Saturday’s in general.
On our site we have a Palmerbet Review that goes in depth into the bookmaker as well as a Vicbet and Punterspal review amongst some of the other top bookmakers that frequently have promotions.
Promotions tend to change regularly, so it is important to sign up to these betting sites to stay updated on the latest applicable promotions.
