Best Tip: Bendigo - R5 - #4 - King Waldo

King Waldo shapes up well here for Nick Ryan off the back of his debut at Wangaratta a month ago and I am keen to have something on him here with some gear changes that he gets now. He proved a bit difficult to ride on debut but definitely displayed some talent when taking over inside the 250m and fighting hard to the line to only go down late into fourth. He now draws the rails, gets the blinkers on and should prove very hard to hold out.

Best Roughie: Scone - R4 - #4 - Draco's Fire

Draco’s Fire should be improving sharply here for Annabel Neasham off the back of his debut at Bathurst. He sat on the speed and two wide throughout the run there and battled on well to hold second placing when just laying out in the straight a bit. I think that he displayed enough talent on debut to be given a chance with natural improvement here second up and the stable is very astute with how they place their runners.

Stats and Insights

Aaron Bullock is the top Jockey at Scone Racecourse with a 22% strike rate. He gets a booking in most of tomorrow’s races at the course so watch out for his rides, I have outlined a few of them in my racing tips articles on the site.

The Bendigo Racecourse is a very spacious circuit with long straights (24m width) and well-cambered turns (6% Camber) which makes it a great course for up and in runners and also lends opportunity to backmarkers to come on strong.

The Bendigo Racecourse has chutes for the 1100m and 1600m that sees runners go around one full 180 degree turn and generally sees rails in runners go over the best at these distances.
