Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 04/07/2023

Racing kicks on this Tuesday at the Ballarat Synthetic racecourse and Wyong racecourse for solid eight race cards. We should see some runners for top stables at both courses that will be starting big Winter preps off the back of the Group 1 races coming to a close for the season. We got unlucky today in our best bets tips as both of our runners finished in the first four but I’m keen to hit back hard tomorrow and have been having success recently at Ballarat Synthetic. As always, I have picked out a best bet and best roughie and highlighted the various bookmakers odds across the Aussie betting sites / betting apps to maximise the value in these picks. I have also picked out the best promotions going around and have highlighted them below the tips for follow me below for another solid day of racing!

Love and Light represents the almighty Waterhouse / Bott stable in this 2O fillies maiden and is the only representative of the stable for the day and at all until this Saturday at Rosehill. She looks like a talented filly and I think the price of around $3.00 is one we might not see her at again next time out. She’s had two fast and smart trial wins to lead her into this and there have been subsequent winners emerge from both of those trials who have gone on to win maiden’s in quite soft fashion. She held them both off easily in the trials, doing her own work out front and I think that under veteran Bayliss’s steering she only runs well here.

I’m always looking for those that are proven on the synthetic and whilst there are some nice types being sent to Ballarat for this assignment tomorrow I have landed on The L & T Corstens trained Zequel who looks to have hit peak now third up and can go on with it now. His past three runs this prep have come on the synthetic, stepping down to this distance two back where he sped out to lead and had a good kick to only find one better in Scottish Jewel who looks very smart. There have been three subsequent winners from that race. He then stayed at this track/trip a month between runs where he set 2nd and took over at the 250m for a smart win, sticking to the rail. He’s hard fit, loving the synthetic, looks like a true sprinter and maps to lob onto the speed in the small field. I like her at odds.
